"We rented the 2nd floor, 3 bedroom suite for the week before Christmas and loved everything about it. Luxuriously large living space overlooking the pool area below. We tend to avoid resorts but this was the best of both worlds. The amenities of a resort, but small enough that it wasn't overcrowded. We have stayed in a lot of rentals and this is by far the nicest one we have been to."

"Came here with a group of 9 friends. The suites and the view from the suites were absolutely incredible - much better than the pictures seem. The resort is very beautiful and they have an on-site restaurant with a great menu. Staff were all very friendly and responsive to any requests. The one thing guests should be prepared for is to climb a lot of stairs (they have an elevator, but in most instances, you have to climb steps to access it and it didn’t always work). "The 5th floor of the Marcela was exactly as pictured. The suits were clean and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We at breakfast in the hotel and had room service one evening and enjoyed the food and the wait staff. We spent afternoons at the pool. The only issue we had was the staff wasn’t interested in offering us drinks. We found it easier to bring our own down then try to get them from the bar. In all it was a hotel we will visit again!"

"This is an older property, but its location is excellent. The bathroom shower curtain had mold on the bottom of the shower curtain and soap left on the window sill, but was otherwise clean. The unit was quiet, comfortable and the staff was responsive and friendly to any needs. The parent company in Europe (YourRentals) was hard to work with and almost lost our reservation. Expedia and the local staff salvaged poor communication from Your Rentals. For price and location, a good value."

"The stay was almost perfect. We had one very bad experience with the sales rep for their time share. They really pressured us to go to the presentation to offer a free massage and made it clear we were not interested in the time share. Long story short the sales guy got super angry and started yelling in our faces and did not give what was promised. Never been treated in such a horrible way at any property for any reason.
