"The communication with the owner was excellent. Any questions we had were answered quickly. There was easy access to the beach and we took advantage of this for several beach walks. As we stayed during a rainy patch we took journeys outside of the city where we went to Old Sarum and Salisbury Cathedral on day trips. The only negative would be the hot water for showering. It took a bit getting used to. On the other hand, having a lift to get to the first floor was a bonus with several suitcases...

"A very pleasant stay in a nice hotel in a beautiful location. In the heart of the New Forest and miles of beautiful walks without needing to use your car to access them. Dining options very good with both the Conservatory and Armada restaurant serving very tasty food. The only issue was very slow service at breakfast - having ordered simple mains we waited over 45 for these to arrive - unacceptable for a simple breakfast service. "Really lovely place! I didn’t know what to expect when I booked this hotel, as places in England can be hit or miss, but I was pleasantly surprised! It’s in a beautiful historic location. Check-in was smooth and the staff was very friendly. Our room was very spacious and had plenty of room for my family of four. The jacuzzi was nice and warm. "Both my husband and myself found the hotel to be just perfect location walk to the beach ideal for children..especially in summer months. Breakfast was great ample choice. However we found our bedroom overlooking the garden a little sparce could do with additional decorative objects to give it more appeal.."

"No real issues with the Hotel, it's a little dated in places, but comfortable and the breakfast was good. The view from the Bistro / Bar is amazing. Our room (220) suffered a little from road noise but was otherwise fine. The curtains definitely need to go back to the eighties though!"
