The nature and wildlife is amazing and they do an excellent job to keep guests comfortable even though you are nearly in the rainforest. Beautiful contemporary hilltop home with impressive panoramic view and pool

"Everything about our stay was amazing! Katia is a highly responsive communicator and helpful resource, and the housekeeper, Consuelo, well let's just say I wanted to see if I could convince her to come home with us permanently! She was so kind-hearted and made us the most delectable meal. The views and yard are breathtaking (we saw toucans from the porch most nights!), the pool was a hit with the kids, we enjoyed the multiple hammocks, and the home's overall aesthetics were wonderful. Mystic River Resort
3.5 star property
9.8 out of 10, Exceptional, (280)
"Mystic River Resort feels like you are staying in the Congo with an amazing staff, food, drinks, and rooms. The rooms do not have AC so we recommend staying here in the winter/spring unless you are used to the humid heat. The excursions available all around are awesome! And the food/drinks within town are amazing and CHEAP! We will definitely be back to the resort in the winter for a cooler experience as we see more temples."

San Ignacio Resort Hotel
3.5 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (242)
"My sister and I loved our stay here! The restaurant is great, the staff is so helpful getting excursions booked, and the iguana project is wonderful. The photos do not do this place justice. Sitting by the pool as the sun began to go down and all the lights were on was simply beautiful! The hotel is on a big hill, so while I did do a lot of walking because town is very close - that may not be for everyone! "
