A good friend had just died in a hospital in Anchorage a couple of hours earlier and I needed a place to stay for two or three nights near Anchorage while assisting his wife during this devastating time for her. "We stayed for a night and the staff was very friendly. We got early check/in and a complementary late checkout. Please mind that this was off season so they were probably operating under capacity and were able to give us these options. Food was a little pricey but tasted good. Great staff and pool amenities. "The property is clean and located mere steps from the Palisades Tahoe village and the Tram building (and also close to the bottom of the WaSheShu lift I think). Convenient parking for one vehicle per room in the adjacent garage. Staff was friendly and helpful, though maybe a little slow on checking people in that night. Some parts of the property were undergoing renovation during my stay, so I gave the Property Condition only 4 out of five stars."

"Check in was wonderful, the hotel made sure we had a room that was easy for my sister to get into who has back issues and can’t go upstairs. Very accommodating. They also let me check in 30 mins early which was very nice. The room however did have a bit of a smell. Not unbearable but maybe just because it’s an older place? The beds were comfy. The fridge was a bit loud but we were able to sleep ok. Nicely located to shopping and nature paths and restaurants etc. It was a decent place to stay...
