"Room showed a lot of wear, side chair was filthy and sank when seated in it. The room was dark with limited lighting, especially in the restroom and dressing area. Excellent location but an aging property with a tad of polish."

"This is a nice property in a great location. The rooms are spacious and include a kitchenette. The only thing that was disappointing is they do not make up the room during your stay. At these prices I would expect that level of service."
"Liked the atmosphere of the hotel. All employees were very friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable we slept good with the A/C nice I cool. Parking garage was almost across the street. We will definitely stay here again. "
"The hotel is a really nice place, but the location struggles with 'street people in crisis'. I appreciated the transportation options to the airport and Amtrak station. The staff was very hospitable and the free breakfast was quite pleasant.
Despite the area concerns, I would stay there again when I travel for business. "
"The highlight of this place for us was the location - a very easy 5 minute walk to old town, and also Macy’s in the other direction. The room size is fine and as expected. There was a fridge and microwave which was a bonus we were not expecting. The air con worked well. Shower temperature and pressure were good.
On the down side, the bathroom had a strong urine smell but since you couldn’t smell it in the main room, we didn’t bother reporting it as we had already made ourselves comfortable....
"The room was small and dated, but it had every convenience I needed, like: a microwave, a TV, a refrigerator. The room was clean and the temperature was good. The floors squeak a little and I was able to hear the person above me occasionally, but overall I would stay here again in the future."

Quaint, comfy, easy
"We went to Sacramento for a family members graduation from CSUS. Although the campus is near by to the hotel, the graduation is in downtown Sacramento at the Golden 1 Center (where the Kings play).
The location of Larkspur made it easy to rideshare to and from the hotel and various venues. There was ample parking, and it seemed farily secure (didn't see broken windows in the parking lot, or broken glass on the ground).
The room we had was fairly basic, but it had a great kitchenet. If the stay was longer, it would have been a great place to rest for a few days.
Things I would change: Sound from the door way, we were on the 1st floor, by the elevators, and across from the laundry/ice room. We would not get a 1st floor room next time, and definitely not one so close to the door, the elevator, and the ice room. The breakfast they offered was not appealing, but will do in a pinch, on the go, or on a budget. It was pick a microwave entree, some coffee, some granola, cereal, and a few other options.
Things we enjoyed:
*Location!
*Kitchenet
*Ample parking, not secured per se, but no issues
*Dog friendly
*Responsive climate control in the room
*Friendly staff
*Amenities near by
*Affordable
*Comfortable bed
*Hot water for showering
*Other amenities
I hope people found this review helpful.

"Every room is genuinely a suite as describes. I gave a three star for property condition, because of the murkiness of the indoor pool water and smell of chlorine. Also, there was yellow tape around the jacuzzi preventing use. "

"We stayed here to attend my nephews graduation from SAC State. We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms are outdated but very clean. Staff is friendly too."
