“This has been our FAVORITE thusfar. Plenty of space, a block from the local part (not busy) of Virginia Beach. EVERY detail was thought of and was included. Beach Chairs, Beach carry wagon, FLUFFY beach towels! Bedsc were great! Bathrooms roomy. Garage with ADDITIONAL washer and dryer. The outside shower to rinse feet, etc keeps everything neat. Gosh, i could go on and on! But... then our next dates MAY not be available because YOU'LL have booked! LOVE LOVE LOVE this space!”

Some things to consider…one bedroom is on the first floor, but both the full baths are on the second floor, so if you have anyone in your group with mobility issues, this is not the best place. As others have mentioned, there are only four chairs in the living room and only four chairs at the dining room table. “Comfortable ground floor apartment with two queen bedrooms and one room with bunk beds. Only one parking space. Kitchen inadequately equipped for cooking large family dinners. A few steps to the best beach on the entire east coast. House would benefit from new beach chairs and a good beach cart. A wonderful block with a neighborhood feel.”

“We really enjoyed our stay at the Beehive. Our family enjoyed playing horseshoes, mini golf and lounging in the pool. It is a short walk to the beach which was very nice. We also liked the two separate units which worked well for our group. The house was affordable prices and I would recommend staying there.”

The Salt Heir embodies everything when one thinks about a beach cottage - however at a luxury level. We had our family of five (six for one night) staying there for our annual family reunion. “Awful experience. Didn’t get my money back when THEIR a/c went out. They called 30 min before arrival to mention there was no AC but refused to give a refund because they technically offered a different place to stay, significantly more disgusting place to stay. Horrible cleaning, bugs everywhere, mouse poop in the pull out couch. It was the basement of another unit and was mold and damaged drywall that had gotten painted over. list goes on, just a brutal experience that they kept my money over....
