"This lodge and spa is located in a valley between two mountain ranges at about 5000 feet (compared to Monte Verde 4300 feet) and is considered to be within the range of cloud forest. When we arrived, we were checked in and the host was very nice but failed to give us clear information of how to navigate the privately owned cloud forest with very hilly resort location and four water falls all within the property. "Beautiful and unique property. We only stayed one night and loved the coffee tour. The restaurant was on site and had delicious options. Only slight downside is no A/C (which we knew about) and lots of insects/bugs that were in the room (2 spiders, 3 other larger) when we arrived. "

"The huge botanical garden attached to the property was gorgeous and a lovely space to walk in. The lobby and dining room is beautifully decorated, with an incredible display of local rocks and minerals. The hotel ad implied our room would have handrails in the bathroom, but it did not. "
