“House was clean and as advertised. Check-in process was very easy.”

“We were scouting this house as a potential place to bring friends, and while we really liked the house there are a few things we noticed that might make us hesitant to bring a larger group. The ground floor was badly in need of vacuuming and there was hair in the shower drain. We never could connect to internet and had no cell service so couldn't even let anyone know. Finally, the water has a highly sulfur odor. Overall it seemed no-one had been in the house in a while and it needed some more……

“This was a perfect spot for out three-generation getaway. Property was a perfect fit for us and the new deck with screened-in porch is a great addition to this property. Well stocked kitchen made meal prep a breeze, and the gas grill came in very handy. Comfy furniture and a great dining room table perfect to game night.”

“The property was amazing and any minor issue we had. They were right there to fix it. The island was welcoming, as well as just the right amount of quiet and slow down that we were looking for. I recommend anybody needing to detach disconnect to enjoy property for a couple of days or even longer. The hospitality was amazing. We will be back.”

“We loved this quiet property, right on the water. The house was clean and perfect for my mom and me. I didn’t use the kitchen but it was stocked with a lot of stuff. Towels for the beach were provided, along with chairs for sitting on the beach. There is a rinse off area in the back of the house, but to turn the water on you have to go in front of the house. I absolutely would return. ”

“Gorgeous location on the Great Wicomico!! Beautiful home with both a rustic feel and lovely modern additions. We brought our boat and the cove on Cole’s Creek was well protected with deep water. Property grounds were so nice, lots of space, and gorgeous view! The owner was super supportive and very helpful with recommendations in the area. Highly recommend!!”

“The stay was just perfect. We came with our own boat and it was easy to navigate to the house. The dock was 30 yards from the front door so easy to get out supplies to the house. (We did make use of the golf cart 😊). Neighbors are so friendly and they let us use their phone to call our family to let them know we arrived. Our cell phones did not work as it is a bit remote. We later found out that there is some coverage on the second floor of the house😁 Nevertheless we did not miss internet and……

“We stayed 4 nights for a Spring Break with our family. The house was huge for the 5 of us. The kids had endless fun with the pool table, foosball table, darts, gaming, and movies. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook. There is definitely an ant issue in the kitchen even before we brought groceries in but we just kept everything sealed. The view is beautiful! Lots of books/magazines to read. No fires allowed in fireplaces unfortunately. Towels and linens provided were……

“Very accommodating, comfy beds (a real +). Kitchen fully loaded with supplies (including spices and condiments). We spent so much time down on the dock crabbing and fishing. Our dogs loved the freedom and space. Made friends with others in the area and did dog walks with them.”

“Situated on a point with water on two sides of the expansive property, the setting was amazing. The house is a mid-century ranch that has been thoroughly updated. We had lousy weather, so we did not get to enjoy the large water-side deck and firepit, but even the indoor views of the water from the kitchen-den area were wonderful.”

“This is an ideal home for a group of couples or family wanting to enjoy some peace and quiet together. Bring lawn games, a soccer ball, picnic blankets, beach toys and enjoy! The stretch of beach (on the river) is so lovely and just about the perfect size for some chairs and beach toys. Walking the sand and you'll find ample sea glass or eagle feathers or other fun things to collect! The property itself is designed for views from all the rooms. “The home was exactly as described. Just pack a bag and everything else is there. Fully equipped property in a quiet location. The only thing I will add is the master bed was smaller than desired, otherwise everything was perfect! We would love to return at another time when the temps are warmer.”

“We loved our stay at this charming cottage. Spent most of our weekend on the back deck looking out over the water and relaxing. Having access to kayaks was great, and the fact that there is a little beach makes launching (and swimming) easy. Kitchen had all the cooking implements we needed, and the bed was very comfortable. Communication was easy and cheerful. Looking forward to staying again!”

“Quiet, clean cottage in a beautiful little town. The place was immaculate and had great views of the water. The fishermen’s museum down the street is a must see. A short drive to the village of Kilmarnock with more museums, shops, and antiques. Make sure to take one of the ships to Tangier Island.”
