"The grounds are stunning. Staff are polite, helpful, and efficient. The room was very nice but the en suite (shower in particular) is dated and not designed for tall people. The hotel in general is quiet, which is good as you can hear everything if someone is talking outside your door. Overall - very nice and would definitely stay again. "

The pictures on Expedia and the word “Lodge” in the name don’t do just to the quality of accommodation and the service level. "We absolutely loved this hotel. The staff were lovely. The view from.our room was great. We saw coati right from the balcony jumping in the trees. Lots of hummingbirds and aguti. They have a trail through the property. The breakfast is wonderful!! So much food. They also do tea/coffee and cake from 3-5. There are a number of restaurants within 5 min walk (try Alissons). The main town was about 20 mins walk away. I would book here again and I recommend it."

"We enjoyed staying at the Mar Inn. Christine at the front desk showed us the map of the city and guided us to a couple of very good restaurants. Breakfast was very good as well. Close to the cloud forest and a Sloth sanctuary. Tip, park at the parking lot that says Offical Parking & take the shuttle, there is really no parking at the park entrance. "

The grounds are well maintained, the breakfast service was great and the staff was friendly. Just across the street are some decent restaurants and a grocery store. It's a short 2-3 block walk to the town square. "
