"Stayed at Golden Leaf to attend a wedding at the Lighthouse Cove Event Center across the street. A more reasonable booking for the event especially since it was across the street. All were extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful."

"The hotel is located in between Dewey Beach and Rehoboth Beach. You can easily walk to Dewey and the Main Street area on a safe sidewalk. Walking to Regoboth would not be easy- due to lack of sidewalks and distance. Biking yes. The staff was very nice here. Rates the best for the area and DOG friendly. "

"This was the second time we have stayed at The Surf Shanty. The property itself was renovated a couple years ago and is beautiful inside and out! The property is maintained on a daily basis and was very clean! Beach access is only 500’ from the Motel and dining is a short walk. The only issue we had was poor water pressure coming from the shower head. When brought to the Property Manager Andre’s attention, he graciously offered to move us to another room. We only had one night remaining, so we declined the offer. We highly recommend this Motel for families or couples alike. "
