"Place is great. Only negative was Vacasa inserting extra steps into reservation process after I had been confirmed by VRBO, and encountering rude Vacasa customer service while calling trying to avoid identity theft. We all deserve kindness and compassion. Finding out I am dealing with a middleman with extra rules is reasonably off-putting after thinking I've closed a deal with VRBO. Cancelling and starting over at that point would have been a hassle. Writing this review is a hassle yet I thought...

"The property was very clean and nice. The room was nice and well stocked. Neighbors were quiet and respectful. The hot tub didn’t work at our time of stay. Not a big deal, though. Nice couple of restaurants right down the road. Awesome brewery in town. Overall, loved it!!! Definitely would come again!"

"This rental in Shelter Cove was stunning and met all our needs. Extremely clean, modern, and the view was breathtaking! We saw seals in the morning and walked the black sand beach. Property management was communicitive and friendly. Just note the drive getting to and from the location perilous, go slow and ateady."

"Nice condo right on the beach. Loved watching the sea lions on the beach! The town is small and isolated. The drive in takes some time but is stunningly beautiful driving through the redwoods. Very peaceful there. Condo was clean and spacious. Nice location."

"If you want a change of pace, a reset or need a bit of magic in your life, Shelter Cove is the place. Not easy to get to but worth every precarious bent in the road down. Apartment bright, clean complete with balcony onto seafront. We are nature people and like to hike but felt perfectly content just lounging on the balcony overlooking the seal colony."
