Such a lovely place to stay. Decor and cleanliness were great. Complimentary coffee and tea daily was a nice touch. Rides were needed to get everywhere but our hired driver was great. Sea Cat restaurant was not as good as the other restaurants down the strip but The Drop and Vos Café (on property), made up for it.

The hotel was very nice, but everything was SUPER expensive. There were not enough chairs for the guests in the beach, so they wanted to charge us $200 for a cabana! The transportation from the airport was $160, when locals charge $40.

The staff is outstanding, pool/beach area, front desk, dinning areas, security, everyone is on task and very well educated and ready to serve. Our room was comfortable, but, location I guess wasn't the best, we were located in front of a service area where the team in charge of housekeeping gathered at all times and had long loud conversations and or yelling, also, there must be some machines nearby that make a constant buzzing sound, seldomly turn off and then back on, permanent, day and night. We had an issue with the ceiling fan in our room that whenever our neighbors turned it on it would turn on ours and vice versa, we asked front desk for help and got it, and compensated with breakfast the next day, outstanding. Overall good experience, not sure if staying there again though.

I came to Roatan for my birthday with friends and we all four stayed at Kimpton Grand Roatan Resort and Spa. This was an extremely clean establishment and the front desk were nothing but helpful! The room was very put together and had more than enough space. The pool and beaches were beautiful and we were walking distance from the city but the hotel offered rides also. I received a birthday cake and staff ensured that I had a great time. A must stay!

Staff was slow in terms of service, rarely answering the phone at room service or for the spa. There were some outstanding employees like Jimmy at sea cat, Arnold at the beach.

The property and staff were top of the line. The staff are so helpful and welcoming.They will take you anywhere down the beach on the golf carts. If you want a little privacy and don't mind walking a bit, choose a cabana, which has a private deck and a private outdoor shower! It is on the beach and you can snorkel right from the property, starting at 4 feet deep. Truly beautiful and convenient if you like snorkeling. There are security people at this resort and all along the beaches here, 24/7, so we felt safe at all hours. They also kept the chairs and pools private from people not staying there. Buy the breakfast with your package. It was exquisite, but $30 each on site- after taxes and resort fees the bill was $72 for 2 for breakfast! Luckily we only paid what our package was, $18 each. The only downside was the food at the beach. We ate at the Sea Cat the first night and never went back and heard the same reviews from others. Plus, it was double the price than down the beach! Hard to justify. It got old having to leave to eat and drink without paying a fortune. We were here a year ago and everything about this place was much higher priced. It felt like what they are going for now though. Sadly, Airline issues made us miss our first night. Announcing that we would not get refunded because we bought online left us with a bad feeling at check in. There are resort fees.

My sisters and I stayed at Gran Roatan between Christmas and New Years. The resort is lovely and perfect for a few days of beach and relaxation. Having stayed at Kimpton properties before I can say this is the best I have stayed at. The spa and restaurant were great. The grounds are beautiful. While the property is excellent, the best part of our stay was the staff. They made our stay an A experience. They are an amazing team. Special thanks to Dayna at the Alera restaurant and Angie in the front desk for their assistance and service. Looking forward to visiting again.

The hotel was beautiful and the service was excellent every staff member was extremely attentive the service is amazing. Belkis at the front desk was amazing and made our stay amazing.
