"I woke up at 3 am to drive to National Park Manuel Antonio since my animal-watching tour had been moved to the early morning. After telling the hosts I would check out very early, they prepared fresh-made breakfast and hot coffee for me to go (including toast, tropical fruits, eggs, and cookies). That is 3:30 in the morning! That warm breakfast made me feel heartwarming while driving in the darkness. Definitely recommend this nice place!"

"Mountain Faro is a simple, clean, and well-located property, with a good breakfast included. Yes it is up a hill, but you are in Monte Verde and everything is up or down a hill. The staff, led by Lady, are lovely, welcoming, and so helpful - including recommending restaurants, helping to arrange tours, and arranging transport as needed (for tours, or if you just don't want to walk the hills). I highly recommend it."

"Dirty hostel. Disrty pillow cases, musty rooms, slippery grated floors outsude to get in, no handicap entrances, very limited breakfast hours of 1.5 hours 6:20am-7:30am only. Flught was delayed in NYC due to flooding so we didn't get there until 2 days later and no one was on the premises- had ro go next door to another hotel to get someone to call that bed and breakfast. "

"This is a simple and cute property in Monteverde, not far from the town (as long as you have a car). The staff is very friendly and helped us book all of our tours. The breakfast was also excellent. Our favorite part about the property were the animals we saw. Toucanets, hummingbirds, and lots of other small birds and mammals were roaming around - what a treat!"
