Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Pros: Comfortable beds; nice complimentary snacks.
Cons: Aesthetically poor outside appearance; needs new sign, painting, old pool area rusted out and surrounded by trash and old drink cans; rusted stairs to walk to 2nd floor room. Upon complaining about climbing the rusted old outside stairs (we are an elderly couple) we were told about the parking in back that led to 2nd floor room. The room's initial appearance was pleasant and was better than outside of building. However, hair in the corners of the bathroom, and around the toilet; the bathtub was dated, and looked grungy; shower was not hot, and the water backed up in the tub when taking shower (gross). Thin cheap towels; old outdated telephone and phone book; peculiar odor in room. Thin walls; was awaken by man in next room talking loud on phone late at night for hours, was not able to sleep. Single layer curtains; did not close securely; guests walking past room from outside could see directly into our room. 2nd shelf of nightstand very dusty. Woke up with headache; elevated blood pressure; itchy/red eyes.
Request to manager: Attempted to talk to manager (Bella?) the next day about concerns; she was short, rude, and accused me of trying to argue with her, because she did not like hearing my complaints. We had paid for 2 nights, but I could not tolerate another night there. Asked for partial refund for second night; she refused. She stated she would move us to another room; no guarantee that it would be any better.
