"Loved the cabin and the setting. Clean and comfortable with amazing forest views. Getting checked in was a bit of a process. Have to call a property manager who drives out to the cabin to let you in. We arrived at check in time and waited almost an hour to be let into the cabin. Call well ahead of arrival time. Otherwise a good stay and a great value."

"The location is close to notable eateries and waterfalls. It was clean and as described in the listing. Keep in mind that there is no air conditioning. It was hot in April, so I'm grateful the host supplied fans. There isn't enough hot water for a shower; the hot water runs out after a minute or two."

"Federico was the perfect host. The accommodations was very nice and clean and spa like.The surrounding area was amazing. Breakfast and dinner was available and was very good. Staff were nice and very helpful. Close to Tarcoles Bridge and Carrara National Park. Great opportunity to see birds and monkeys.I would highly recommend. Also the host went above and beyond to assist. I would definitely go back."

"We love this house and location - it’s about an eight minute drive to get to downtown, which is close enough when you need some morning coffee, but far enough to be away from the fray of everything. The cottage was simple, but absolutely perfect for our needs. Three bedrooms with their own AC made for very comfortable evenings. The main area but no AC and did get warm, but spent very little time there. Anyway, time at the house we spent outside in the hammocks, pool, or rocking chairs, enjoying...

"Perfect cabin with wildlife all around you! The cabin was immaculate! The kitchen has everything you need, we went to the grocery store (5 mins walk from the cabin) bought food. Everything we did was a short drive from the cabin, Selvatura park, El Tigre waterfalls, and local Sodas. Miguel is very helpful anytime I called or texted- he answered immediately."

"Lovely setting but on site owner(?) spoke no English only a child did, so difficult to check in and get things settled. No A/c or heat and it was at first hot then very cold later. Hard to sleep in the cold. No screens on windows or sliding doors. Futons to sleep on were dirty and smelly. Kitchen had very few items to make even coffee and breakfast. Would not recommend. Pretty far from Monteverde Biological Park. You can do better."

"We stayed for eight days and immensely enjoyed the experience. We were glad to have a rental car, but you could walk to town if you wanted to, and we did several times. There are some good tourist businesses within a reasonable walk (Sloth trail, Coffee&Chocolate Tour, Pickleball court, Smokehouse restaurant, 2 other restaurants) and we used them all. Great birdwatching from the deck over breakfast. Nice air conditioning and on-site laundry made for a very comfortable time."

"We had the most incredible time staying here! From waking up to the sounds of howler monkeys to enjoying a nice afternoon visit with the neighbor’s horse to dinner with a volcano view in the gazebo we had everything we could have asked for and more. Anna and team were so responsive and helpful they even recommended local activities and restaurants we should try. When our luggage was left behind by the airline, she even offered to be available for the delivery so we wouldn’t have to give up time...

"A great experience, very different and close to Barra del Navidad. Very good beds and lovely veranda, great living quarters downstairs. The noise from the road can be a bit annoying at night. But the setting makes up for it. Lovely pool as well."

"Itzel was a fantastic hostess....she was very prompt at attending to any requests we had and is a very fun lady to chat with. The house was a very cool experience....very clean and had everything we needed. The only downside was having to go downstairs from the loft during the night to use the bathroom. Everything else was amazing!"
