"Loved everything about this wilderness retreat. From the adventurous drive up the ridge to the stunning and clean place and then walking the one mile trail through the woods around the house. "We enjoyed the quiet and remote features of this private Lansing oasis. Unfortunately while the gas fireplace wasn't working, we were able to run into town and buy wood for the wood burning stove. Definitely recommend for a winter getaway and know the gas fireplace will be repaired soon. Property manager was quick to respond and contact the appropriate maintenance staff. "The host was helpful and kind. The check-in process was simple. The location was great. Set on the front porch and watch the river flow. Home was Close to my favorite fishing spots. The house was well stocked with everything you need. The beds were comfortable. The house was very clean and neat. "We recently stayed at the parsonage, three generations, and enjoyed it immensely. Everything was exactly as stated in the description. It was clean, comfortable, and easily accessible. The host gave clear directions throughout the whole booking process. We enjoyed a fire by the amazing "babbling brook", and my grandchildren had so much fun playing air hockey in the basement. "We had a wonderful weekend celebrating our daughter's graduation from VCOM. We rented both Claytor Escape and Green Cape Cottage. We enjoyed the kayak, paddle boards and swimming off the dock. The house was clean and well-stocked. Check in was easy and the host was very responsive. And - the front porch of Claytor Escape is wonderful!"
