“James and Connie are wonderful hosts. We had refreshing conversation and yummy breakfasts. The MB Estate is in need of some TLC but is lovely and something fascinating awaits at every nook and cranny. The honeymoon suite is expansive and well appointed. We highly recommend a stay at MB Estate!”

“We absolutely loved our stay at Rockwood Manor. When traveling, we look for out of the ordinary places to stay, places with character, history, beauty... This wonderful place has it all. Our room was spacious, clean, charming, and had a beautiful view. Our bathroom was just around the corner in the hall, but was just ours so it really wasn't a problem. Robes were provided, too, which was thoughtful. In the evening we played games in the beautiful sitting room downstairs and just imagined the……

“We was in town for the August night races at Bristol. Our host was extremely nice at check in. We booked. room with a shared bathroom, but never had ny problems accessing it for showers or to freshen up before leaving for the races. We are on a Keto diet and our host made sure we had an awesome breakfast every morning. But I'll say I was about to go off the diet when I was the amazing waffles and pancakes she prepared. ”

“The historical aspect of the property and the work the owners had put into making this a true blast in the past was fantastic. The breakfast the next day was very elegant and you felt like you were living in the 1700's We will stay there any time we are passing through”

“We came to Virginia from Michigan for our friend to visit with family she hadn’t seen in 12 years they live on Vetrans hwy. this was about as close as we could get a rental. It was wonderful. Had every amenity. Very clean. Well decorated and not broken down like some rentals. Hot tub was lovely. We fished and cooked breakfast but didn’t have enough time to do everything the lodge had to offer. You could easily stay for one or two weeks and stay busy! Our only suggestion would be to provide oil……
