"Country feel in urban environment. Nice building and room but limited facilities. We only had breakfast but it wasn't exceptional: we had a long delay in it arriving...and cooked breakfast was cold."
"The apartment was scrupulously clean. We've stayed here three times over the last couple years and they have always been really clean. The deco is modem and still in excellent order. Parking is great..right on the front door and it's only a short walk into the city..a fantastic place to stay when visiting the city"
"The room was small and cosy, ideal for my solo trip. Nice bathroom, the only little thing i didn’t like was the lack of bath mat for the bath which i find a bit inconvenient cos it could be slippery, but one of the staff members provided me one. The rest was very good, receptionist was really helpful and friendly. "
"Change of owner not communicated prior to stay, nor how to check in. I had to phone several numbers to find this out.Room very small, we never saw any other guests (were we tho only ones). Coffee and tea provided but no milk and no refresh of supplies during our stay. No housekeeping. Tiny room, basic bathroom. On the plus side when I did get through to the number full details on check in were provided and the 2 staff members who were there that day were helpful."
"The only thing we didn't like was our room,it was absolutely roasting even with the heating off and a fan on.
We also had to sleep with no covers on it was so warm.
Otherwise we have no complaints, the weekend was brilliant and hotel not far from metro station (west jesmond)"
"The Carlton is in the process of being renovated. The alternative accommodation across the road was an excellent replacement. Very well presented, clean funky and functional more than adequate for a brief visit. Right in the heart of Jesmond,"
"We stayed here as it was close to the wedding venue we were attending and didn’t seem too expensive. Easy to find and park park at. Check in was easy and the room was spacious and I was grateful for the kettle and teabags/milk and use of hairdryer and ironing board. The downside was the bars downstairs. We were at the front of the building right above the hotel bar and both Friday and Saturday night I struggled to sleep til the partygoers left at midnight. I had the windows shut and the blinds...

"As usual, staff at reception were extremely helpful, super friendly and couldn't have done more than they did, to make us feel welcome.
We always use this hotel whilst visiting Newcastle on our trips 'Up North' and will continue to do so.
Location in and out of Newcastle is easy to get to and the Metro station is a 3 minute walk away giving quick and easy access into the city centre.
Thank you"

"Wonderful in 90.% of respects . But the twin beds , one of them ,
in the room was seriously uncomfortable so much so unable to sleep due the noise made by the mattress which was well worn and in need of replacement .
It was appalling uncomfortable.
Not a good nights sleep ."
