"Its out of Brighton town centre but a no 7 bus runs every 5 minutes at a cost of £ 2-00 from outside the hotel and the Marina has plenty of restaurants and the view to make a nice change from the city ."

"A real grand hotel. Fantastic staff and fantastic experience. It's a very old structure though, there is no ramp at the entrace, so it wasn't easy to bring the buggy up the little staircase every time. Thanfully, the staff is so available and friendly they always helped. Will definitely come back."

Upgraded to superor sea view room with balcony, robes etc. This was because of a function in hotel & luckily nicer room available away from noise. Reception staff really friendly & helpful. Stored our bags when we arrived too early for our room. Enjoyed our stay 👍"

"We’ve stayed at the Old Ship several times, as it tends to be the best value for money. We love the central sea front location (and are prepared to put up with a bit of city noise… the complimentary ear plugs are a nice touch), sea views are well worth paying a bit extra for, and we even enjoy the 100 year old lift …. on the occasional time it arrives before we opt for the stairs instead (it is described optimistically as ‘a bit slow’). Very pleasant staff too. Looking forward to our next stay. "
