AMAZING!!!!
My family (my mom, 2 sons aged 15 and 26), my boyfriend, my son's girlfriend, and I stayed last week. This home is nothing short of amazing. The location is far enough from town that it is not loud or busy, but close enough to get what you need without a lot of hassle. The home itself was immaculate and everything you will need is available. We cooked 2 nights and every morning for breakfast and everything that we needed was available in the kitchen to prepare our meals. The rooms are spacious and the layout is such that you can enjoy privacy when needed. The view is to die for. My children fished off of the dock and we did snorkel from there. We saw sting rays and had a turtle that kept us company every day while we were there (we named him Samuel) and he likes to eat squid. There was also a small nurse shark that hung out one day. We were able to rent a boat and go to some of the sandbars that are closeby and I cannot decribe the beauty. We were also close enough to go to Chat N Chill for a while one day by boat. Definitely rent a car so you can get to dinner and the market because it is about a 20 min ride into town. Overall, if i could give 10 stars, I wouldn't hesitate. The owners were always available (I communicated with Monica on multiple occasions, she always responded very promptly, answered all questions, and we were greeted at the home upon arrival. Definitely worth every penny!

Magical time with friends and family
We loved our stay at the Mandarin House. It was perfect for a group of long time friends. Everybody had both space to get away and a great family spaces to get together. We cooked together, hung out by the pool and explored the island. Monica made excellent recommendations for activities, services and restaurants. The staff is great too, they came by frequently to check on things and make sure we had gas for the grill, towels and supplies. I would recommend that they get new paddles for the paddle boards. Overall we had a great time.

Beautiful spot, super convenient, lovely people. Groceries easy to find. Kitchen perfect for food prep and group meals. Sitting by pool lovely. We had some challenges with the ac units smelling of mold due to lack of use, bleaching prior to guests arrival would solve that.

The house was absolutely perfect!! Monica had fast, excellent communication from the time we booked through check out. We hired a Chef Keva to cook our meals which is an excellent way to fully enjoy your vacation. We loved hanging out at the bar area after a long day on the water. The dock was perfect for our boat rental drop off where we explored Moriah Cay and then spent the afternoon at Chat n Chill. A short drive to Tropic of Cancer Beach which might be the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. We had a lovely dinner at Blu on the Water, a short drive from the property. I would highly recommend the Swimming with the Pugs All Day Tour (Staniel Cay). So much fun! It also includes a stop to see endangered Iguanas, swimming with Nurse Sharks, snorkeling Thunderball Grotto, and lunch at Staniel Cay Yacht Club. Would absolutely stay here again!

Birthday/Anniversary Getaway
The perfect place for 2 couples. It was great-each couple had their own space in the evening but we ate breakfast together in the main house each morning and gathered to play cards and just hangout. We were there in September and there were not a lot of restaurants that were open so we did a lot of cooking in the evening as well. Would definitely recommend.

Great week in paradise
We stayed in The Mandarin for a week in July. It was amazing! Great location as long as your ok being outside of town (which we were)! Only minutes from Forbes Hill (highly recommend). We rented a boat for three days and it was wonderful having it to visit places like Chat N Chill, Hoppers Bay and Starfish Beach. The dingy was used the other days and it worked great while we were there. We fished and snorkeled right off the dock. The house was plenty big enough for our group of 11 (6 adults, 5 kids with one being a toddler that slept in the crib included with the house). There were minor issues that Monica addressed appropriately. The property could use some freshing up (like a new dining table- it was on the verge of breaking while we were there) and some additional kitchen supplies (like cookie sheets)…minor things in the grand scheme. It was a dream vacation with our family and we made memories that will live on forever!!

The Mandarin House Is Magical!
We loved our stay at the Mandarin. Monica met us in Georgetown and we followed her to the property where she gave us a helpful tour. During the week, she was very easy to get a hold of and helped us with any questions we had. The property itself was beautiful and charming (it is more of a "campus"). Our teenager stayed in the small apartment on her own and she appreciated her own space. The main house has the kitchen, main living and dining area, a wonderful laundry room, and another king bedroom ensuite with a huge closet with a crib. There was lots of room to unpack and fold/hang clothes. The other house had a big room with a large bed + bunkbed where our 9 and 10 year olds stayed on their own which was perfect. Another couple with their 2 year old stayed in the other king bedroom ensuite, which was large and comfortable. This second complex also has what I would call an "entertaining" room with a hibachi grill (we did stirfry one night), a bar window and seating, a very cold fridge perfect for beer, and fun musical instruments. The pool was fun for the kids and the dock had a dinghy, paddleboards and kayaks. There was snorkle gear to use which we kept in our trunk all week because you will want it when exploring all the beaches. The location was perfect. . . close to the grocery, gas and shops in Georgetown. The kitchen at Mandarin was well stocked for cooking. The Forbes Hill beach 8 minutes away was our favorite! We would recommend the Mandarin 10/10!

Enjoyable vacation
Nice home with good amenities. Plenty of space to spread out or spend time together as a large group. Enjoyed cornhole, the pool, paddle boarding, the dinghy (once the engine was swapped out), the hibachi grill, and swimming off the dock. Communication with the property manager was excellent and the small issues that popped up were addressed quickly. Small repairs are needed, like tightening the cabinets and securing the dishwasher. We had a wonderful time and would visit this property again.

Can’t beat the location
The location was exactly what we were looking for. The house is a little worn and not as clean as I keep my own house but it didn’t bother us and we would go back. It had everything we needed to have a enjoyable vacation. Hands down our favorite vacation yet. The dingy boat is unreliable so definitely take 2 paddles out when you go out. Monica was very responsive and helped us plan all the details. Take the trip!

Must Stay
We could have easily stayed in a resort, but we are so happy we elected to stay at the Mandarin. Such a neat property with a lot to do! We went with two families (9 total people; 4 adults and 5 children ranging from 8-15), and everyone had plenty of space and privacy. At the same time, we were able to hang out in the main living space whenever we were home. We loved paddle boarding and kayaking across the bay to Moriah Harbour Cay. It only took 35 minutes to an hour to get to the opposite side of the island for excursions. The moment we arrived Monica made us feel welcomed! Her exact words were, “Let the kids have fun, they are in the Exumas!” We made great memories and recommend this location to anyone looking for the perfect spot to vacation with family and friends!

Wonderful Stay at Mandarin House!
Moriah Cay is one of the most beautiful places in the world, and staying at the Mandarin House was the perfect place to take it all in. We were a party of eight that travels to Exuma every year at the beginning of March. This year was the first time we rented a house and it couldn't have worked out better. Mandarin House is lovely and worked out comfortably for all of us. We had plenty of room to gather together as a group or spend apart for quiet time. The kitchen is large and provides a nice area to cook and prepare meals. The terrace is perfect, and the pool was a delight. We rented a boat from Drexel for six days and couldn't be more satisfied. Overall, thumbs up for a wonderful, relaxing, and beautiful place to stay when visiting Moriah Cay and Exuma.

Nice play to stay
This was a great place to stay for three couples. We all had separate spaces as the house is laid out with each bedroom in separate areas. The main house had a nice large living area and big dining table. The outside bar and hangout areas were great too. A couple things to note...two bedrooms are en-suite, but the third had to go outside to enter their bathroom. There is the main house that has one big bedroom with a full bath. Then there is the bar area...it has one bedroom behind the bar (facing the front of the house with bunk beds (their bathroom is outside, on the other side of the bar, so great for when hanging outside and for the kids in the bunkroom. Then on the other side of that bath is another en-suite bedroom that faces the pool/ocean. If you want to boat anywhere other than the sandbars across the way, you def need to rent a boat. Someone was complaining about the boat that was available...their review was completely unsupported. It's a dingy...it's not made for far travel. If you arrive on a Sunday, def take advantage of groceries being delivered to the house...the grocery wont be open until Monday so you def want some food for potentially dinner and breakfast the next day. Nitza, who provides the massages, and her co-masseuse were AMAZING!! We hired Chef Keva to come cook dinner for our group one night. It was the best meal we had on the island and it was reasonably priced. Plus, they were both lovely ladies.

Not our cup of tea
We had high hopes that the Mandarin House would open up a new part of the island for my family ( 5 adults, 4 kids(5-12). The hope was we could walk the beach at Moriah Harbour Cay on a daily basis and I could fish for bonefish near the house. While we could it was not an easy trip. The five minute dingy ride to Moriah Harbour Cay required it to be hide tide unless you didn't mind pulling the dingy 75 yards through shallow water and it also required a working dingy. Additionally, the direct route to the beach required either multiple trips in the dingy ( 2 adults and 2 kids at a time) or some people to paddleboard or kayak. Plus the walk to the beach required hauling things over the island on rocky ground and a 100 yard walk through a watery mucky mogul area before getting to the beach area. The beach is very beautiful equal to Coco Plum or Tropic of Cancer beaches as a way of comparison. The house itself was in fair shape but could have used a deep cleaning. Also, the three separate buildings that housed the 4 bedrooms made it not feel like a family gathering but more like a hotel stay with everyone heading to there bedrooms after dinner. This was due to the limited seating in the "living room" area and also due to the no-see'm that appear in the evening on the calm night so no outside seating. The dock usually had a breeze so it worked well for night time gathering and star gazing. We met Jonas who replaced the dingy's motor after our first day out on the water. The motor died coming back from my first trip to the Cay. Poor Jonas and his assistant paddled the boat back in a constant 15+mph wind from the swim platform I left it at which was at a house 1 mile away( I had to walk back to the house). Jonas also returned twice more to get the new motor working after what appeared to be operator errors. Once due to vent cap somehow was closed and the second when the gas line valve somehow was turned to the off position. Both of these operator errors happened after the dingy was up and running on the water and the engine quit in mid trip. Not fun trying to paddle a dingy in the wind as Jonas and I can contest to. I can not recommend the house for a group of 5 adults and 4 kids unless you want to be separated. I also can not recommend the location for accessing Moriah Harbour Cay unless you area seasoned dingy operator or like to paddleboard or kayak in the wind. I did not attempt to catch bonefish from the house.

The Perfect Vacation
We had an amazing time in Exuma! The Mandarin House is beautiful and is great for families with multiple units. Monica was wonderful and available for all questions and stocked the house with groceries ahead of our arrival. She also provided very useful information regarding car rentals, excursions, etc. prior to our arrival which was so helpful! We had a delicious catered meal from Nola our first night which was wonderful. She even offered to hold our baby while we ate. We rented a boat from Daphne with Exclusive Boat Rentals and her crew delivered it and picked it back up! We loved using it to explore around Moriah Harbor. We had a great time on a private charter with Exuma Watersports. We are already planning our next trip back!

Perfect home and location
Monica is amazing to work with from the time of booking to arrival to our stay and departure. She was quick to answer any questions and is very warm and friendly. She made us feel right at home when we got there. We stayed here with 2 families and one couple. The property consists of 3 houses. Which gave us plenty of space and privacy if needed. The main house has a master bedroom with full crib, full kitchen, dining, living room, laundry, 1 1/2 bath. The house with the hibachi music bar (extra fridge and ice maker) has 2 bedrooms with separate entrances and 2 baths. The third house has a bedroom and bath. The kids loved the pool and jumping off the deck. I loved the aesthetics of it all. The dock was where we started our mornings and ended our nights. We saw turtles, plethora of fish, sharks(only one night), stingrays swim by and several shooting stars. We snorkeled near our dock and found lots of starfish, spent some time moving them to right next to the dock enjoyed seeing them for a couple days slowly moving away. Dingy over to the islands across from us and searched for natural wonders. Saw more starfish but a different kind, sand dollars, pretty shells. We also rented a boat and was able to dock it at the house. This was our 4th time to Exuma and this is my favorite house we’ve stayed in so far. The house also has a generator which is great for when the island goes out. This time we had several outages but it didn’t bother us Bc the whole house generator kept us going. I would highly recommend staying here. It’s the perfect home base. House also comes with plenty of coolers ranging from small to large, plenty of beach towels, fishing rods, kayaks, paddle boards, and basics like dish soap, dishwasher detergent, bath soap, paper towels, spices.
