"Beautiful hotel; a tiny age in spots. Great location. Pool & jacuzzi under maintenance. Room fabulous!!! Super dog friendly!!! No free breakfast. Coffee in room delish. "
"It was a sleep stay for us for two nights. Both were more than comfortable, wonderfully quiet. Facilities were well considered and all worked perfectly. Staff was courteous and always a smile. Housekeeping was excellent. "

"great staff"

"I almost never leave reviews but my experience here was so good, I want to share it. First thing, yes the rooms are small but the dimensions are listed so there should be no surprise. But also, the room was CLEAN- like immaculately clean and that’s important for me. The week before I’d stayed at a major hotel chain in a large US tourist city for a lot more $ than Motto, and the room was dirty w chipped worn furniture. Even the Motto gym was pristine - and spacious.
I was In DC for museums, both work and pleasure, and the location was perfect for a scenic walk to them.
Also… the staff! At that other hotel, I went down to front desk at midnight to ask for extra blankets and they looked at me w bored faces and said I couldn’t get blankets until the morning- this at a hotel w 100 rooms! At Motto everyone was beyond friendly and accommodating. I used to work in high profile fine dining and am alert for service- it can make or break my experience.
Example: I was out for dinner and mortifyingly spilled my Gatorade in my canvas bag, soaking it w orange liquid. I asked the Motto clerk if I could use a hotel dryer and she said they don’t normally allow it but she asked a manager who was passing by. The manager said sure thing and she’d return the bag to my room. When I came back later, not only was my bag dry and folded but she gave me two of the hotels canvas bags w a note saying she hoped I liked them!
I’ll definitely be back and thanks to everyone for a great experience!
