Check in was simple. Room was clean and comfortable. Shower was ok. Breakfast was well presented and tasty. Staff were polite and friendly. Only small things were parking was tight and it opened onto a busy road but these were minor things.

Fantastic location for visiting some friends in the area. The walk in the park next door and to the beach was a highlight. Also super easy to grab the bus right outside to anywhere.

The hosts, Thomas and his wife were very gracious, knowledgeable, and friendly. The room was very comfortable and clean. It was a great place to rest before our flight. The breakfast was delicious! A wonderful place to stay in Edinburgh.

Hidden gem up the road.
I loved staying here. I thought it would be loud because of the busy street out front; however, it was quiet and comfortable in my room. You are a 45 minute walk from the bay, and the town just to the North has an incredibly charming feel and pub. The owners cook a fantastic breakfast, and will go out of their way to give you the best advice. It will save you a bit of $$$ from staying in the more bustling areas like Haymarket, but you will get really good advice from the owners no matter what you do.

My husband and I only stayed one night but it was very nice. The hosts were friendly and very nice. Their little dog was adorable. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was great. Would absolutely stay again.

Excellent guest house
We had an excellent night’s sleep at Acer Lodge. Perfect for our family ahead of flying out of Edinburgh airport the following Monday. Good communication from hosts and excellent clean and comfortable room. My young daughter was delighted with the hot chocolate sachet and the fresh milk was a very welcome touch that most places don’t provide. Thank you.

Turn left on exit!
Lovely house set on a busy road. Made to feel welcome immediately on arrival Rooms perfectly clean with instant coffee and teabags available. Driveway is gravel stones, maybe consider tarmac to make parking easier- parking readily available but small and tight for a larger car. Location is very busy- a four Lane major trunk road into Edinburgh. Realistically, could only turn left out of property, given how busy the road was durning the day.

Absolutely fantastic.Lovely room. Nice comfy bed.Fantastic power shower.Free parking no reservation needed.Right next to a busy main road & the sign could do with being lit up at night. Would definitely recommend to future guests.

Convenient for airport. Contactless checkin with all necessary info sent in advance. Property on very busy road - loud and continuous traffic noise in our room which was on the groundfloor at front of property. Otherwise a comfortable stay with a lovely cooked breakfast.
