"Our first time back in Belize in 18 years . Umaya was the perfect place. The views over the lagoon towards the Maya mountains are perfect backdrop after a day at the beach and pool. "Authentic hotel to stay at. Beautiful. Note, there is a lot of seaweed so you can’t go in the water. Well you can a little on the left hand side. There are a lot of waves. I saw a couple go to the pier and jumped in for their daily swim. Also, the price for diner or anything you purchase at hotel from spa to food or anything else, it’s US Dollars. "For the prices we paid, the room was small. If we wanted to watch tv we would have to plug the mini refrigerator out by to plug in the tv. When we ask for the AC remote we were told it an extra $20 a night for AC. The shower had very low pressure and the shower head need to be clean. "

"This was one of the best places we have ever stayed. Shelly was so helpful, and cheerful, and made our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend these cabanas. The property was super clean. We stayed next to two great restaurants on the beach and they were also fun at night for social mingling with world travelers."
