"I picked Azure Del Mar based on reviews, and once back home wanted to confirm that they were right...it is a special place! I am generally an independent traveler who prefers a bit of the off the beaten path. I needed somewhere that I could relax and restore and this was the perfect place for that. The staff are excellent and provide a very personal touch. I was a solo traveler and felt welcomed and safe. The cabanas are unique and comfortable. There is a lovely breeze and you can hear the waves from bed. I was there the first week of May and it was not crowded, in fact, I often had the beach all to myself and felt like I was on my own private island swinging in my hammock. The restaurant is good, but you can also walk to a bakery, small market, or other places to eat. I wondered about staying farther out from Placencia, but have no regrets about my decision. Azure del Mar is an amazing place and I highly recommend staying there."

"Very nice greeting upon checkin and property was clean and well maintained. Parking lot accessible only by walking on beach path. Pool was small but refreshing and we had breakfast at the bistro and the food was good. Room had a balcony overlooking the ocean and the sounds of the waves was great in the evening. 15-20 min drive to the town but there are several restaurants and convenience stores close by. Overall, would definitely stay again. "

"My family and i just got back from staying 10 days at Ophelia's Villa in April. Heather and Kevin could teach a class in how to properly manage your VRBO. I was blown away at how much work they put into to making their website and guidebook app. They truly thought of everything. Any question we had about the villa was easily answered in the guidebook app. We drove in from Belize City and the listing was easy to find. The villa is absolutely beautiful and you are immediately transformed to a relaxing and tranquil environment the minute you set foot in the door. The views are amazing and it was so nice to be located on the quieter lagoon side. The pool, fish dock, and outdoor games were great. Luti and Ms. Ida were both such lovely and helpful people. Any questions we had they were able to answer and Luti was really helpful with the few things we needed help with at the villa. We really enjoyed our time in Placencia and Maya Beach. The food in the area was excellent and I wished we could have had more time to try even more restaurants because we did not have a bad meal the entire trip. We were also very pleased with the tour company they recommended called Dtourz. Their guides were very knowledgeable and our tours were so much fun! I highly recommend staying at Ophelia's Villa. We cannot wait to come back and we are so in love with Belize now after staying at your house. Thank you Heather and Kevin for all that you have done to make our vacation so special."

"Our first time back in Belize in 18 years . Umaya was the perfect place. The views over the lagoon towards the Maya mountains are perfect backdrop after a day at the beach and pool. The staff were great, very helpful with booking trips etc. The restaurant is excellent and the wood burning Pizzeria provides a great alternative. We will be back "

"My friends and family were mesmerized from the moment that we walked in the door. The house is exactly as pictured. Absolutely breathtaking. It is located right on the beach so the breeze from the sea was constant and refreshing. The home provides everything you could possibly need to make your stay comfortable. It’s located about 10 minutes away from town via golf cart so close enough to enjoy the town but isolated enough for peace and tranquility. This house exceeded my expectations. Beautiful space and definitely a must see! We will come again!"
