The winding, narrow road leading to the hotel is certainly not for the faint of heart, and we were never brave enough to venture out after dark because of it. "Very basic hotel about 20 minute walk into town of Jaco. Comfortable bed, good air conditioning, large balcony, good shower. But only cold water tap in the sink (shower had hot water), no shampoo, conditioner, lotion, or hair dryer. No coffee maker. Very old style safe with a key for rent for $3 US per day, with caution that if you lose the key, could take 2-3 days to get someone to open it. We chose not to use it. Felt safe.
