"My family and I stayed at this pinecrest retreat during our snow trip. It was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The stairs were interesting to navigate with a 2 year old toddler and two older grandparents, but it was doable. Heating consists of wall units and a fireplace. It was walking distance to Leland snowplay. No wifi was refreshing as it allowed us to unplug and spend quality time together. There were plenty of movies available for us to watch. "My only concern with the condo was that the sliding doors were unable to lock. It was a little uneasy to go to sleep at night knowing the sliding doors were not able to lock."

"Nice cabin in the woods. Clean with all the amenities we needed. Close to Pinecrest lake, where I got some fishing in. Great change from the Bay Area. Got to see the stars with no light pollution. We were serenaded by the coyotes one night. My wife and I were there over Memorial Day weekend and the neighborhood was nice and quiet. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay."

"We had a terrific time at this location. It was within walking distance to Leland Snowplay which was the main attraction for us. Although there was no wi-if or cell service (as mentioned in the listing) the layout lent itself to more family interactions instead. I really loved the arrangement of the second floor with the wood burning stove, family room and kitchen."

"We loved this cabin. It had everything we needed: comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, great TV, large capacity washer/dryer. The host was easy to communicate with through text messages and answered our questions promptly. Even though it was snowing outside the hot tub was wonderful. It's very close to Pinecrest Lake for winter sliding and Dodge Ridge for skiing."

"Great location right near Leland Snowplay area. Was great for us, though keep in mind that there are a lot of stairs so not good if mobility is an issue. Though we didn't watch any, there was quite a large DVD collection at the house. Also, it is condo, so you can sometimes hear the neighbors. Nothing too loud, but we could hear the TV through the wall."

"First time in Bear Valley, what an amazing location! I was a little worried about the logistics, since you have to bring everything to the cabin by Snowmobile. We have timbersled snow bike kits on our dirt bikes but no trailer so it really couldn’t transport items or additional passengers. They had a shuttle service though and was able to help us get to the cabin even after office hours when we had to deal with a flat tire on our truck on the way. "We had a great week as the setting was beautiful, and there is wonderful hiking and wilderness close by. The lakes all around were great for fishing, paddle-boarding and swimming. The house has a great floor plan for hanging out, with lots of light and windows, and the deck was really lovely. We also enjoyed the pool table. Unfortunately, it really didn't feel as though they prepared the house for us as renters who were paying quite a bit for a weeklong vacation in their home. All the shelves...
