Peaceful Rest in Bermuda
Magical, Peaceful, Relaxing, Surrounded by beautiful people with kindness in their hearts. This was a trip of a lifetime. I felt free and able to connect with nature and the souls of the Bermudian people. I didn't want to leave this amazing home. I just wanted to sit in Wendell's treehouse overlooking the turquoise blue ocean. I felt like I was living in a Doris Day movie. Everyone was kind and said "please & thank you". Wendell, Xenia, Jasmine & Grand Mama adopted me. I was part of their family. I was single woman travelling alone and I felt very safe. I would highly recommend booking an Island tour with Gregory DeSilva. He helped me out a few times. Wendell has his phone number. If you believe in magic book this trip. I can't wait to return. Quick 5 days in the beautiful country of Bermuda
Wendell greeted us warmly. We arrived a bit early from airport. The grounds were tidy. The actual room was older, needing some updates. There were some leftover personal care item’s left in a bathroom drawer with a chunk of old dried up bread. But bathroom was clean otherwise. Floors were clean which is important. The a/c worked well. We typically spend very little time in our room, we are not real particular. We would possibly stay again for future visits.

Bermudaful Vacation at Whispering Waves
We have visited Bermuda at least 20 times but always by cruise ship. We were looking for a different experience and wanted to stay on Island in a Bermudian home. We are very familiar with the Island and knew exactly where we wanted to be and Whispering Waves did not disappoint. We were within walking distance to one of the most beautiful beaches Horseshoe Bay, the bus stop(s) that went to Dockyard/Hamilton were directly in front of the property, and a short walk in either direction were restaurants. The view of the ocean and beach below Whispering Waves was breathtaking from a special vantage point Wendell created for his guests to enjoy. We especially loved having our morning tea and breakfast overlooking the ocean and listening to the waves in the evening before bed. Wendell and Xinia are remarkable hosts they went above and beyond to be sure we had a lovely vacation. We will definitely return to Whispering Waves! Thank you for sharing your beautiful property and Island knowledge with us.

Spring Break 2024 and a major rain storm in Miami delayed and cancelled our flight till the next day, losing an night in our stay, an early flight the next day with transportation arranged to the property allowed for our host Wendall to give us a personal tour in his vehicle from Hamilton to the Dockyards, that was so comprehensive and interesting that we were able to ensure getting the most of our remaining time in Bermuda. Wendall was a 5 star saviour with what to do, what to see, and where to eat, it all made our stay very memorable. Bermuda as I quipped is exceptionally picturesque or simply "picture perfect".

The owners were a blessing to know and work with.
Beautiful location, clean, neat. The ocean views were amazing. The owners were a kind family and fixed dinner for me on my first night there. They made sure I had what I needed. The weather was rainy and cooler than expected and I did not get much sight seeing in but that’s ok because this was a business trip and I spent most of my time on my computer. Next trip will be more for pleasure and hopefully much warmer.

Wendell and his wife were so incredibly kind and so generous with their time. They took us on a driving tour of the island to get us acquainted with our surroundings- it ended up making a huge difference to how we spent our time. The location is in walking distance to restaurants (including some of the best sushi I’ve ever had). The views from the property and everywhere you walk are incredible. The private beach for the neighborhood was AMAZING. We had it ALL TO OURSELVES. You can also walk to Horshoe beach - which is the most incredible experience!!! important to note you can walk to the scooter, bike and mini electric car rental place. This helped a lot. The interior could use some updating, but you won’t be spending your time inside.

Amazing location!
We enjoyed our stay immensely. Wendell and his family are so friendly and welcoming. The location is amazing. Walk a few hundred yards to Henry’s pantry. Horseshoe Bay beach is about a 15 minute walk. The private beach in front of the property itself is absolutely breathtaking. The bus stop is right outside your door! We highly recommend eating at Devils Isle Cafe. We had an amazing time.

The room is just steps from a bus stop and about a 20 minute walk to Horseshoe Bay Beach. The room is tiny, but perfect for the person/couple that does not plan to spend much time in the room and wants to explore the island.

Wendell is a terrific host. When we mentioned we wanted to do some stargazing, he brought out his telescope and set up chairs with a pitcher of water for us to enjoy. The location can’t be beat. Look forward to coming back.

Wonderful stay at Whispering Waves!
My wife and I had a splendid time at Wendell and Xinia’s amazing apartment in Bermuda. They are excellent hosts and provided great hospitality, recommendations and guidance during our stay. They are very kind and are the perfect island hosts. There are so many amazing beaches very close by, including the spectacular private Cross Bay beach that is only a few minutes away. All the beaches are clean and stunning. The bus stops are right in front of the property making to very easy to get around the island. The restaurants that are near the apartment are very good and there’s a little market right up the road. The views from the property are fantastic and the decor has that inspiring island vibe. The whole island is really quite beautiful and friendly. The Whispering Waves is absolutely wonderful and if you’re looking for a great stay in Bermuda, this is it!

Great stay in beautiful Bermuda
Wow! What a view! We had a great time being in Bermuda at Wendell’s. His whole family is super sweet and Wendell knows a lot of tips for great spots to visit. The outside chairs were nice in the evening to chat with a glass of wine. We rented a car for 2 days and a scooter one day to see more parts of the island, but you can walk to some nearby beaches and restaurants. The Reefs restaurants were our favorite! Make sure you visit The Swizzle Inn for a rum swizzle and go to The Blue Hole to jump off the cliff! Wendell was a great host and his daughter Jas was a sweetheart who helped us get to the airport and showed us her favorite beach spot in Somerset. Definitely recommend! 🥰❤️

Whispering Waves Shout a Must Stay!
This retreat is perfectly and beautifully situated, overlooking the stunning south shore of the North Atlantic where the view NEVER gets old and the undulating shades of ocean blue hold you captive. Wendell and Xinia are amazing hosts who make you feel like specially invited guests. Upon arriving in a down pour Wendell quickly extended his hand in a warm and sincere welcome and whisked us into their home where he offered his hospitality and suggested must sees, must dos and must eats. The apartment was a perfect spot to lay our heads after active days exploring the radiant island. We enjoyed coffee every morning and pre dinner cocktails every evening taking in the spectacular ocean vista. Don’t miss taking the 127 stairs down to Cross Bay for one of the most serene, beautiful beaches just steps away from the property. Wendell and Xinia were even gracious enough to allow us to renew our wedding vows (with almost no notice) on their beautiful property. We hope we are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to stay with them again one day!

The best vacation of our lives
Wendell & his darling wife & daughter are so welcoming. They treat you like family. He will arrange a taxi to pick you up from the airport & he will suggest plenty of things to do & help steer you away from over-rated tourist traps. The property is even better than the photographs. A beautiful garden right outside your door. Mini fridge, microwave & hot plate came in handy. There are lovely places in walking distance, especially the resident only beach. It is down a few flights of stairs but very well worth it, more private than the crowded Horsehoe Bay. He will give you a cooler to bring with you & you can get ice at Henry's Pantry which is a 8 min walk down the street. Also ask Wendell about their chicken! we grabbed 4 legs & had lunch on the beach. Bring cash for taxis. Wendell suggested getting bus day passes but we didn't travel too far from the property & when we did we usually got back past the last bus so we just used one way tickets which cost about $4 & taxis for the rest. We loved the water view hot tub & was thankful it wasn't too hot when we wanted to cool off in the day but didn't want to make the trek down to the beach & get sandy. We would definitely stay w/ Wendell again & we would be lucky to. Trust the reviews. You get a way better experience in a local's home rather a hotel. More privacy all around. Wendell's paradise will not disappoint you but instead surprise you! He has been in the hospitality industry for a long time & it truly shows.

Amazing Location
My first visit to Bermuda and Wendell, Xinia, Jasmine, grandma (who’s 98 and sharp as a tac!), Spice(the cat) and their friend, Alfie were amazing hosts! The location of this property is perfect! Ocean view and access to the beach is steps away. Bus stops right outside of the property—super easy bus system! Can’t wait to return to Bermuda!

The Best Location with the best hosts
We had a wonderful time at Wendell's & Xinia apartment such wonderful hosts, wouldn't of wanted to stay anywhere else we will certainly miss all the chats and stories and the views from your garden. The apartment is conveniently close to Bus stops which makes it so easy to see all the island, which is so beautiful with its turquoise waters and white sand beaches its paradise. Hope to come back and visit you both in the future with our 3 girls.

Great place to either enjoy the beach and explore Bermuda
Wendell will treat you like one of the family. He showed us the sights of the island, and helped us to get bus tickets and food. The location is great, and you have a lovely spot to look out to sea. It's a short walk to a lovely secluded beach.

Amazing birthday getaway
It is a beautiful place! It is only a 2 minute walk to the beach.The beach is not public and not too many visitors. The condition of the beach is excellent.The room has everything for comfortable staying. Wendell's house has a great front yard with the fantastic view.The owner Wendell, his wife Xinia,daughter Jasmine and his mother are friendly, cooperative, have great personality, and are ready to help when you need any assistance. They are also dedicated to share useful information. Wendell drove us around the wonderful island by showing us beautiful places and places that were useful for us during our vacation(restaurants, beaches, shops, bus station). Amazing Christmas Getaway
I knew when I read all the other comments this is where I wanted to stay. Wendell was amazing in the booking process answering all my questions quickly. The location is in the most beautiful part of the island. Wendell's front yard is a post card picture. The bus route was right out front of the residence and made getting around the island so simple. We saw so much in our week stay. Bermuda is gorgeous and the locals are so welcoming. With all that said, Wendell, his wife Xinia, daughter Jasmine and his 97 year old mother were the best part of our trip. Beautiful people with hearts of gold. Wendell went out of his way to make us dinner reservations for our 32nd anniversary at the most romantic restaurant on the island. I told them when we left we came as guest but left as friends!!
