"We have never vacationed during Christmas before. This was a perfect choice. There is LOTS of room in the house. The beds are very comfortable. The owner was very attentive, checked in via text just to make sure all was well and see if there was anything we needed. Fishing, simply from the dock, was fun and rewarding with 5 lb catfish and the largest bluegill I’ve ever seen!"

"This is a cute property and has been made to feel like home. 2 bathrooms 3 bedrooms 2 pull out couches-we did not use, a washer and dryer and a fully functioning kitchen,-no dishwasher-unless you count yourself as one. We loved our stay. Our Athens Alabama experience was amazing. This property is right on the shore of the Elk River. "Comfortable place to stay"

"While traveling we stopped at this location. We were checked right in. It’s an older building but, they have done a good job with the upkeep and there was NO musky smell. The breakfast was very basic. We did have to restock some items ourself and the pool was covered. Good for a quick stop. "

"Staff was very helpful with locating us on first floor due to elderly individual staying with us. Hotel was very clean with room in good shape and comfortable. All in all good value for money spent...breakfast was an added treat as it had all the basics for a quick start on the road. "
