Pulitzer Amsterdam
5.0 star property
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (1001)
"Eclectic hotel consisting of many different buildings, with a nice inner garden area. Our room was noisy, as it was in a major pathway area and had stairs inside the room. Lots of trip hazards at thresholds. Be aware most European hotels don't have stand alone showers, which requires you to climb into a rather high tub to take a shower..not many grab handles for securing. Becoming very aware of this for senior citizens which are the ones that can basically afford expensive hotels. Staff was...

"We enjoyed our full week stay at the Jan Luyken. The hotel is well located for the major museums, easily accessed from the airport using the 397 Airport Express bus, and a reasonable walk to many of the attractions in Central Amsterdam. The bus/tram stop is a block away making it easy to get to Keukenhof and the flower auction. The hotel staff was very friendly. The amenities including breakfast, cocktails and snacks were plentiful and delicious. We stayed in a Medium room which was quite...

"73 steps straight up; that's the hard part (if you're on the 3rd floor); but the staff takes care of hauling your luggage up and down so that's great; small rooms but we had 3 in a room and it wasn't too bad; I forget everything in Europe is on a smaller scale than in the US; nice little breakfast; staff went out of their way to make our stay very pleasant; great location for public transportation, lots of restaurants, shopping, sites, close by; just don't go on King's Day, whatever you do,...
