Hop in a comfortable gondola for a cruise down the winding waters of Venice's iconic canals with a professional gondolier. Scope out Renaissance architecture as you head to Piazza San Marco to skip the long lines and head directly inside Saint Mark's Basilica for a look at its gilded mosaics.

Meet up with your guide for the day outside the entrance of the Hotel Bauer in the Campo San Moise. Make your way to the nearby Rio de San Moise canal and climb aboard a traditional gondola to begin a leisurely ride toward toward the Grand Canal. Look for commuting locals crisscrossing the water in nimble power boats and romantic couples listening to stripe-shirted gondoliers as they croon and paddle through the city.

Next, pass by the grand columns of the Teatro la Fenice, snap photos of the dome atop Santa Maria della Salute, and then head back to Piazza San Marco. Weave past the long queue of waiting visitors and follow your guide straight inside for up-close looks at the massive marble hallways, opulent frescoes, and gilded mosaics.
