Mingle with the region’s youth, with a trip through the campuses of the George Washington University and the University of the District of Columbia. The Capital One Arena is home to the Washington Capitals hockey team and the Washington Wizards basketball team, among other clubs. Browse high-end stores in the open-air setting of Cady’s Alley Shopping Center.

The area is also filled with family attractions, including the Washington D.C. Madame Tussauds.

The Northwest zone comprises much of the central portion of Washington D.C., from the Lincoln Memorial north toward Silver Spring and Bethesda. It extends from the eastern bank of the Potomac River and the northern side of the National Mall. Travel by metro or bus to one of the many stops scattered across this area. Make sure to explore the other quadrants of Northeast, Southwest and Southeast.
