The cottage is located behind Patty's house on a quiet street that's three blocks from the inviting College Avenue array of varied restaurants (Italian, American, Mediterranean, ice cream, Peet's). A 20-minute walk to the UC campus. “We are locals and this was the perfect getaway to our favorite beach in the area. Easily walkable to restaurants, the beach, and one of our top hikes (Matt Davis). Perfect for a family of 4. It's part of a hub of cottages and I would love to look into booking out a block of them with families/friends. Property interior is super cute and newly renovated. Can't wait to return!”

“Came to town to support my son in a sporting event with my Dad. The place was excellent! First, if you’re a nature lover (especially from other regions of the country), just wow! The place is nestled amongst the trees which create a dense canopy above, with some views of the boats on the bay. Got the chance to trail run at the nearby China Camp State Park and loved it. Second, the house’s construction is downright fascinating; always something to look at and ponder on what a labor of love it was……

“Location, location, location. We love being so close to the beach. Your cottage is adorable and we loved it again. As far as feedback, we have some. The backyard was a bit run down this time. The fence was broken I imagine from the rain storms . It also looks as though the gardener left piles which were needed to be recycled into the green bin. Last time the back yard was pristine. “The unit itself was very nice, well appointed and in a great location. It had everything we needed to cook and bake. The fresh loaf of local bread was a really nice surprise. At the time of our stay (May 2024) the staircase down to the unit was under construction. The only way down to the unit was a dangerous trail with wobbly steps. This was a challenging climb in and out, but with luggage, it was a nightmare.”

“Cute shabby chic-style casita - 5 min walk to beautiful clean beach, coffee/lunch/snack/ice cream/dinner options plus a little general store across the street. The main casita has one bedroom, 1 bath, living/dining and kitchen. Back casita has just bed/bath. They are connected via 2 lush & lovely courtyards: one with the grill and the other with firepit, chairs and picnic table dining. Landscaping is very zen and we could hear the ocean at night. “My partner and I had a pleasant stay in the cottage which was private, clean, bright and comfortable, though dated and as we were told, will eventually be renovated. For our stay it was very functional. The kitchen is equipped with full sized appliances and a dishwasher. There is a small laundry room in the cottage with full-sized washer and dryer, great for stays over a few days. The bedroom has a comfortable bed and lovely views out to the trees. The bathroom was small with a tiny shower……

“Photos do not do justice of the gorgeous gem! Tam as well as loads of natural light greet you every morning and are spectacular during sunset. Grace was extremely kind and fast to respond to any questions. The space itself was very clean and stocked well - kitchen, bathroom and bedroom with touches like a small book collection that covered everything I might have needed. While I stayed here for a conference in SF, was able to work remotely as well for a few days as Wifi was strong enough for……

“It was a pleasure to stay here, thanks Swami! The furnishings are quite sparse but all nicely comfortable and functional, with very good facilities all around in the bathroom and the well-equipped kitchen. It is relaxingly quiet and private, and in a pleasant area. Great location for a visiting academic (as I am), with an easy walk to the university campus, lots of restaurants of all kinds nearby, and BART station. I’d be very happy to stay again on future visits!”
