"Everything! Service, comfort, views, friendliness, food all were great. There is a certain level of positive energy that surrounds the environment.
Definitely a great place to stay. We will extend our stay and return another time "
"We liked the property. It was close to the ocean and hearing the ocean rise and fall was wonderful for sleeping and meditation.
I did not like being placed on the 20th floor of the hotel. I'm aversive to heights. The room was fine and we had a partial view of the ocean. But we also had a good view of the favela bored into the mountainside behind the hotel. The favelas are unfortunate living areas of the poor and dispossessed, and this bothered me somewhat.
The food was great. The restaurants...

"The hotel was nice but the staff wasn’t responsive. The pull out need didn’t have any sheets and there were none to be found in the room. I tried calling housekeeping and front desk several times but nobody answered. Finally I went down and asked in person and the assured me they’d sent someone up. Waited for over 30 minutes and nobody ever showed. Finally we were so tired from our days adventures we just stole a sheet from the other bed."

The food was great. The restaurants took care of us nicely and the concierge was wonderful in answering all of our questions. "

"This is a top hotel! I don't quite understand the negative reviews left. It's at least a four-star hotel and is excellent with staff, reception, and restaurant services. There are always several receptionists on duty, along with several porters. The breakfast buffet is outstanding and serves many local dishes, along with the more traditional. The hotel has granite floors throughout and a wonderful panoramic view of Copacabana. I did upgrade my room once I got there and was so glad I did. Also appreciated the fact that I could take the stairs to my room which were impeccably kept. Everything was clean and high-end. I would definitely stay here again and felt safe and well-served throughout the 8 days I stayed here."
