What a terrible property! It has been over a year they are undergoing an elevator remodel, and it is just ridiculous! They wait for the elevator at times is 30 minutes long. They also have the audacity to charge $42 dollar "resort" fee when there is not coffee maker/coffee in the room. There is no mini fridge or minibar. Zero amenities! And if anything, they should waive this fee to compensate us for the elevator inconvenience! I also am extremely dissatisfied with the staff/service. I specifically called housekeeping one day at 3:00 pm as we were heading out to make sure our room got cleaned, and when we got back at 11:00 at night, guess what, our room was not serviced. Cannot believe this request was completely ignored, even after I specifically called requesting it. Their staff literally doesn't care! Another issue, on check-out day, I called at 8:30 in the morning to ask for a late check-out. The receptionist said, "Let me check and I'll call you back." 2 hours later, after no one called me back, I called once again asking for late check-out, and once again they apologized and said, " We will check on it and call you back." Surprise, surprise, NO ONE ever called me back! This is just nonsense. Every other hotel I have ever called to ask for late check-out tells you immediately, sure, no problem, or they tell you they can't accommodate it. What's with all the "We'll get back to you" nonsense! Skip this place. There are tons of other hotels in NYC.

Considering we stopped at the hotel in Nov 24 and loved everything about the hotel, and returned again now and it took a 360 degree turn on it and dropped down so badly is a big surprise. We checked in fine went to our room and went to get the ironing board out which was broken I rang house keeping 3 times for a replacement and almost 2 hrs later it arrived. The carpet was filthy to the point there was nail cutting on the floor, the bathroom sink was blocked and a slight leak at the bottom, there was rubbish in the bedside table what I found as we were packing to leave, our dirty towels left in the bath tub from the morning, but were given fresh towels.and the lifts have been under construction for over 8 months, I could had built them a new lift shaft and fitted the lift. It reminded me of the old Park Central from 2006 when I first visited and then I did not until Nov last year. Will not be returning.

No refrigerator in the room was a surprise. Had to take the service elevators multiple times due to them being worked on. That’s understandable. We decided we wanted to stay one more and night and tried to book through the front desk. The front desk attendant was rude and not helpful. We booked another night at a different hotel instead

The room did not have working AC, there was a large trash bag of linens and towels outside the room door upon check-in, the toilet had a yellow film in the bowel, two of the drawers were broken, and the closet door was also broken. Others in my party, two other rooms, had similar experiences and some had even worse experiences.

There is only one elevator. Highly inconvenient. They state they r fixing it, but they have pretty permanent signs posted around. So it seems like it has been this way for a long time. They also need to update things as they had tape holding up the number signs outside the elevator. For the amount they charge these things should not be an issue.

Upkeep at this property is very poor. Most notably there is a singular elevator working since others are broken. The elevators have seemingly been broken over a year based on other reviews. Guest are resorting to using the stairs.

This is our second time staying at this hotel, we stayed here at the same time last year for Columbia graduation. Last year they had one working elevator for the whole hotel and they still have the same issue again this year. However, Nowhere on their website or on Expedia did it state that the elevator is still under construction? If we would’ve known, we would not have stayed here. They charge a Daily resort fee But they provide no amenities; No water and no coffee in the rooms. There is no breakfast or anything else to be charged a resort fee for! The hotel is rundown; our bathroom door was broken and wood was peeling, the carpet was dirty, the mattress was old and sinking and very uncomfortable. It was a very noisy hotel, but that’s to be expected in older hotels in NYC. This place is motel quality at best and definitely not worth what you’re paying for . We will never stay here again.
