The hotel is great. Pools especially. There is a really underutilized green space between the two buildings. If they allowed you to walk out your balcony and had a fire pit and some lawn games, you would really have something!

We enjoyed the patio with the suite. It is a place to stay for longer than the 2 nights we enjoyed. I would definitely recommend anybody to stay there. With a full kitchen, families would have a good stay.

Nice, quiet, clean property. Worked for our needs. Only a 15 minute drive to most places we wanted to visit. Only cons were 1. the air conditioning is just window units. Not sure they would cool the room enough if it was hot out, but sufficient for low 70's. 2. They advertise as having everything you need for cooking in the room, but we found dishes and cookware to be pretty sparse. I was able to make all the meals i planned, but had to be strategic about what/when i started food since there was only 1, 8" skillet. Perhaps other rooms are better stocked, but if you plan to do much cooking, you might want to bring your own skillet or 2. Otherwise, no complaints. Pool was warm and fun! Inside jungle gym was fun and well kept.

It was our first time in Door County and even though there was construction, we loved staying at Newport Resort. It was so convenient to travel up the peninsula and come back to Egg Harbor as our "home base". We will be back!

Front desk check in person (Dan?) was very friendly and good at his job. Pool area was ok . We really wanted to overly enjoy resort as a family getaway. Easy parking and check in. Room felt dirty and dated, bed had many long black hairs and makeup smeared on pillow and hot water did not work in bath tub. We left a day early. Not terrible but not good either.
