"It is a really fabulous historic building that has been restored to it's former glory. The apartment is on the upper floor and covers the whole floor. So it is latge and comfortable with a small backyard looking balcony. We really enjoyed our stay. A backery is just around the corner and downtown Elmshorn just a few minute walk away. The Hosts are very friendly and welcoming and accommodating. Could not have asked for better hosts. We loved it!"

"Die Wohnung ist prima im ersten Stock mit grossem Balkon. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und erholsam, dabei in guter Ausgangslage für Touren in das Schrammsteingebiet. Wir haben uns bei der sehr freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Gastgeberin sehr wohl gefühlt. J.E."

"A lovely, well-equipped house in a stunning location with its own fabulous garden. Brilliant for our family group of 10. Lots to do locally. The gem museum, gem mine, Celtic settlement were great trips and the open-air swimming pool in Rhaunen was much enjoyed. We visited Herrstein twice! Klaus and Anna were really helpful hosts. Highly recommended."

"Die Wohnung ist genau wie beschrieben. Hatten lange keine so saubere Wohnung mehr. Alles vorhanden, von Geschirrtabs über Toilettenpapier. Der Ausblick ist toll, genau aufs Haff, Ostsee nur 5 Minut enentfernt. Für Leute mit Gehbehinderung genau richtig. Zur Wohnung eine Treppe rauf, trotz Unterarmgehstützen gut machbar.. Bei uns in der Zwischensaison war es sehr ruhig. Man konnte schon überall Essen gehen, die Preise im mittleren Bereich. Uns hat es so gut gefallen dass wir im Herbst wieder...

About 35 minutes train ride to Hauptbahnhof Central. 15 minutes walk to small shopping centre, with two supermarkets, pub with good meals and two other restaurants. "Das Haus liegt sehr schön. Es erwartet den Besucher ein unangenehmer Geruch, wenn man die erste Wohnung betritt. Es richt nach Feuchtigkeit. Der Geruch war auch mit Lüften nicht wegzubekommen. Daraufhin haben wir die untere Wohnung als Aufenthaltsraum ausgesucht. Dort roch es nicht so unangenehm, aber die Möbel waren sehr abgenutzt. Ein Sessel im Wohnzimmer war so durchgesessen, dass man auf Stahlfedern saß. Die Stühle sind schon sehr abgesessen und teilweise nicht mehr zu gebrauchen. Die...
