We booked the Savoyen for a 4 day stay as it was not too far from the city centre, and conveniently located near a train station. The room was of a good size, clean, and the staff at the reception were helpful.
However, we felt that there were a number of things which made our stay less pleasant:
1) We were consistently woken up very early around 7 am by housekeeping for the turn-down service
2) The room lacked some basic amenities and services which should be expected of a 4-star hotel like a coffee machine, complimentary water bottles, replenishment of bathroom supplies etc.
3) Some aspects of the room weren't well considered, for example, two single beds were pushed together but the headboards were made of a material that made a significant squeaking noise with any movement
Overall, we felt very underwhelmed by the experience as we expected a better standard of room and service from a hotel of this calibre.
