We were so excited to be able to view the eclipse from the property, which meant that we didn't have to deal with traffic getting home or to other lodging. Sherry was a great host. The cabin was quiet and clean. and just perfect for a two-night stay. ”

“Town was cute and ecclectic, stay at VRBO gave the same vibes. Very clean and fun. We only stayed for 1 night but would love to come back- stopped by Annie Laurie’s, Indie House, Kenny’s Flippin Burgers, Ebb and Flow brewery and Broadway Bistro/vintage store. We recommend all of them!”

“Cape Girardeau is about the halfway point for us (Wisconsin) and friends from Mississippi. This VRBO is ideally located within walking distance to plenty of restaurants, shops and bars. Property is very clean, has the basics and communication with the owner was super easy. The saloon-style doors for the downstairs bathroom were a little unexpected, but we made it work. We enjoyed our stay and would recommended this property for a long weekend.”

“We traveled to Advance for a long weekend to view the total solar eclipse. Host provided excellent instructions for arrival. Every room was as described. Nice decor - including vintage duck decoys. Grocery shopping was nearby. We had a delicious meal and delicious drinks at El Mexicano restaurant. There were Subway and McDonald’s fast food options nearby as well.”

“Host had the cabin very clean. New leather couch & recliner. Mattress was extremely comfortable. Washer & Dryer were excellent. Another Rental house near, long-term renters were very quiet. Internet not very good in the Illinois woods. Closed cabin has a musty smell from humidity in the woods. Host had an automatic air freshener going to help with air quality.”

“We were traveling in for our daughter’s college graduation and found this rental to be ideal! The host has the home decorated nicely to make you feel at home. The home is supplied with anything and everything you would need for your stay. Having the fenced in backyard was perfect for our pup to run and the neighborhood is fairly quiet. Thank you!”

“The property was exactly as advertised. They’ve truly thought of so many little things that made our stay so enjoyable. There was a severe weather alert at 4 am during our stay and the hosts were checking on us the entire time to be sure all was well. We will definitely be back, for a longer stay next time! 🙂”

“The remote peacefulness of this location was amazing. Rustic isn't a valued word anymore. Wildly fun to sit on the patio of the cabin and just listen to nature and the rainfall, my gosh! We walked trails, played rounds of games in the gaming cabin. Swam and jumped off that pontoon a dozen or so times. The paddle boards were great too! We totally plan to go back and have already been making plans to see the Happy Farm family again!”
