It was explained to us that we had requested a quiet room with a particular bed size and that the only remaining room which met our criteria was in the basement. So if you don't like basement rooms, please be sure to clarify when reserving.Otherwise, our stay was good and the hotel is quiet. It is a lovely, historic property."
