“My dad, brother and I stayed here for 3 nights for a fishing trip Racine. The host was extremely responsive, from the time of booking through the end of our stay. The A-frame sits on a nice-sized lot a bit off the main road. It's easy to access yet is far back enough to not hear a ton of road noise. You can walk down to the Root River which is one of the reasons we booked it - and it did not disappoint. The house looks almost brand new and was squeaky clean. “A quiet property gives you a camping feel with the coziness of a cabin. PROS: - pretty interior design - dogs allowed - nice patio area - close access to neighborhood amenities (can order delivery from local places) CONS: - water smelled of eggs which made showers unpleasant and was not suitable for drinking - fire place does not work - not the cleanest upon arrival - outdoor lighting is very minimal, this made taking the dog out at night difficult - listing pictures a bit deceiving,……

“We had a great time enjoying the screened-in porch during meals, and there was plenty of room for us each to sleep comfortably. There were some pans, utensils, plates, cups and a small coffee maker. We would definitely recommend.”

“We stayed here for our family vacation in Kenosha - 7 adults and a 5 year old. The house was a well-appointed and had lots of room for us all to gather in one place or spread out if we wanted to. Good location near restaurants, groceries, etc. Loved the view of Lake Michigan and we were just a short drive to an accessible beach. Owner Dan was easy to work with and responsive. “This is the second time we stayed at The Retreat. LOTS of space inside and out for our family to gather. Kids age 3-10 could not get enough of the heated pool and the adults especially enjoyed the hot tub. We added an 'exrra' and had a small family reunion one of the afternoons and the place was perfect for this. Game room such a bonus when it rained. We didn't need to leave the property but some checked out 7 Mile Fair. Communication with the owner was timely. I'm sure the family will vote to……
