Hotel Halifax is in the heart of the action. With direct access to a mall and food court, convenience is at your finger tips. There is also no shortage of restaurants in any direction. While the hotel itself could use some upgraded carpet, the beds and pillows are very comfortable. The gym, sauna and pool are great amenities for those who like to keep up with their physical fitness while on vacation. Check out the lobby bar/restaurant for great conversation with Andy the bartender and some tasty food and happy hour. This is our fourth stay at this property.

Called for an early check in on a very busy weekend and the staff was very efficient and accomodating. Check in was simple. Gave 4 stars because its a little outdated and could use some upgrading. Room was expensive but had an event on a very busy weekend. Have stayed there before and everything was great.

The shower lacked a grab bar. The restaurant was expensive. The staff was excellent. Hotel Halifax is due for a "face lift'. Overall, Hotel Halifax was better than expected.

The Hotel was a bit out of the way-end of town but not inconvenient per sec. The staff was very kind and attentive. The pool was great. I had it all to myself every morning at 6AM. the Harbor view was lovely

I like the Halifax Hotel and the Barrington both because if their location and price. It was clean although the hotel is a little outdated. There was a wedding the weekend we went there so the pool and overall facilities was very busy and we could hear noises from the other partying guests. Obviously, just a matter of bad timing for us. I will still go there again on my next family trip.

We had to move into 3 rooms before we found a room that didnt have bugs crawling on the beds or dead bug carcasses ontop of the sheets. The 3rd room still wasnt cleaned with dirt smeared on the pictures hanging on the wall. We stayed the one night as it was late and we had been traveling all day but ended our stay early. Not sure if new owners or staff are not trained or care about cleaning anymore. I have stayed here 3 times before covid and after this experience will not be back.
