The property is really nice but dated. The rooms need update for sure , the sofa bed is quite lumpy and the AC in the rooms is noisy. Other than that, we really liked it

Good spot near colonial Williamsburg. Very friendly staff. Fantastic amenities, including a splash pad and pool. The place could use a little bit of upkeep.

We stayed here for a weekend getaway. It was convenient to Colonial williamsburg and they also offered a free shuttle to the area. The staff were friendly and very helpful, when we needed assistance. My husband enjoyed the pool very much. I would definitely return and bring my grandchildren next tine.

The resort is average. I paid $20 extra per day to have a view of the “courtyard”… nothing but grass. The extra fee also gave me a small refrigerator (like those in most hotels) We also had a chair next to the bed… $20 upgrade?????? Never again.

Breakfast and staff were great. Pool is beautiful. Unfortunately I could tell that our room had been smoked in at some point in time but we would stay here again.

Check-in was great. She was detailed and friendly and told us about the property. Beds were a bit firm and I could feel one of the bed coils but not enough to bother me. Their pillows were overly filled and uncomfortable. Bathroom ok, yes outdated but it serves the purpose. Room was big and spacious. Free breakfast included but we did not get to check it out because our room was so far from the breakfast area and wanted to sleep in more. Reading previous reviews about breakfast didn't feel like it was worth checking out anyway. Parking was fine but can use more lighting where I ended up parking because the lot she specified was full. Location was convenient, just next door to the Visitor Center for Colonial Williamsburg.

Great hotel for a weekend in Williamsburg, convenient to Colonial Williamsburg and a short drive to Busch Gardens. Room was clean and breakfast was decent, front desk staff were all friendly and super helpful. The only negative is how loud it is with all the kids around, everywhere we turned it was screaming kids and the walls are very thin so it woke us up in the mornings.

This hotel is very nice with numerous amenities and convenience. We love being next to the Colonial Williamsburg visitors center with easy access to the bus transit. The thing that could have been better are the pillows. They were a bit lumpy.

We were in Williamsburg for a funeral, but were able to enjoy the location of this facility for a few hours before our flight back home. If we are able to come back to Williamsburg for leisure travel, we would definitely stay here again.

Note that we have stayed at the Woodlands property several times in the past, but things have clearly taken a turn for the worse. The staff has shown themselves incompetent and rude in just about every area. They put us into an uncleaned room (wet carpet, hurricane fan) and another without adequate a/c. They did not notify residents of a power outage and were unwilling to support residents under those conditions. All in all, a very bad experience and we will not return.

Staff was great and it was a fine enough hotel but the power was out the entire night. That meant the elevators and HVAC were not working. Could not sleep at all because of this. Had to crack the window but then it got too cold and leaving it cold made it too hot

This property is very close to all major attractions in the area; a quiet area away from the congestion of Richmond Road yet a short walk to the restored section of CW. Planning on returning to enjoy the golfing opportunities in the immediate region.

Woodlands overall is a good place to stay. Good continental breakfast, clean property, easy to park and friendly staff. The beds are not exceptionally comfortable but overall it was a good stay with my family.

The variety of breakfast choices was good. The warm breakfast choice was prepackaged. The Visitors Center was connected to the property where you can buy tickets at a reduced price as a guest of the resort. Colonial Williamsburg is about 3/4 mi walk. There are a few small hills, but there are also benches. Or there is a bus. We were there in the early spring, so we didn’t take advantage of the outdoor amenities. When, we go back we will stay there again.

We stayed for a few nights. We picked this place due to the convenience of the colonial Williamsburg shuttles/visitor center. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Although it was a bit chilly during our stay there are some outdoor activities (like mini-golf, table tennis,etc) on site which we made use of during some downtime. The only slight was the breakfast. My guess is the hotel was pretty full during our stay as there were several large groups there too. But they really need more room/tables in breakfast area. No matter what time we’d head down, we found ourselves unable to grab a table just to sit down for 10 minutes to eat. most people would just stand by an end table or have to take back to their room. The breakfast is pretty basic. But at least they never ran out of anything.
