"Our first night at the Monte Cristo was just awful: we were in an upstairs, back-side room on a warm evening. No ventilation to speak of, and no AC, meant that at 11pm, when it had cooled to 75-degrees outside, our room was 82-degrees. It finally dropped below 76-degrees around 4am. The second night was like night and day: we were moved to a street-side room, airy and well-ventilated, and spent a terrific day and evening there. "I was able to get a lot of work done here using the WiFi. It’s super close a nice little park where I was able to workout, get good coffee, plus the Jewish bagelry near was excellent. There’s a small burger joint connected to the hotel, which was convenient for burgers, beer, and big salads. "
