“We stayed here when we came to town for a wedding. It had a great location, within walking distance to multiple restaurants and shops. It was clean and the hot tub was so nice after long days. The downstairs was not available for us to use due to a remodel, which we didn’t know when we originally booked our trip. We were still able to fit everyone in the bunk room so it wasn’t a huge deal. The train is very active at night and you will hear it. Overall a lovely home and we enjoyed our stay.”

“The house was comfortable and we enjoyed the video game table and the wide variety of interesting books and music. I wouldn't call the waterbed waveless (we've had 2 waterbeds), and we found this one a bit sloshy. Used the wood stove heater for 2 days but I'm sensitive to smoke so we used the electric heater for the last 2 days. The town of Dunsmuir didn't offer much in the way of food or entertainment. Most of the restaurants we had researched prior to our visit were no longer open for...

“We really enjoyed this retreat. It was exceptionally clean & very well thought out and private. Sitting out on the deck over looking the seasonal lake, while listening to the songs of the waterfowl & Steelers Jays… And watching the ducks and geese with those little fluff ball babies waddle up to the grass area of the yard was a real treat.. We never once clicked on the TV as the view has everything we needed. Very comfortable & peaceful indeed.”

“Very cute and comfy house. We did not cook a meal at the house except for making coffee and toast. Centrally located and short walks or drives to nearby restaurants and shopping. Near great views of Mount Shasta.”

“The house has an old time cabin feeling with log walls and wooden cabinets. It is a large property located very near to downtown, amid several rows of low-rise condo developments and a hospital. It is very near Highway 5; you can see and hear the highway from the back deck and hot tub. 3 bedrooms upstairs with one hall bath and a bedroom with en suite bath downstairs as well as a 3rd bath next to the living room. 2 car garage. Hot tub.”

Fabulous bakery with coffee below and excellent restaurants a block away. Very welcoming available proprietors to meet any extra needs. Perfect place to stay in Mt Shasta!”

“This is a wonderful place to stay. Spacious, quiet, well located; this house has everything you’d need for a McCloud getaway. Well appointed kitchen, great bathroom, comfortable spots all throughout the house to tuck yourself away and fixate on the great forest views. I loved the big porch in the front with its comfortable outdoor furniture. Also, right in the front, if you stand in the no traffic road, there’s Mt Shasta grinning down at you. A magical place to stay.”

The resort was quaint , and the varied accommodations was delightful. we enjoyed strolling through the resort and being awed by all the different accommodations and the remodeling work being done on the rustic cabins. The view of Mount Shasta at sunset was stunning! The short walk to the botanical gardens and the Sacramento river was peaceful and tranquil.”
