A little gem of history in a breathtaking set to. I loved the vintage state of the rooms, it’s a hundred year old hotel, modern luxury would not suit it. Every need was addressed, clean updated bathrooms, comfortable bed. We had a 5th floor room with a lake view. Absolutely incredible! The staff were very attentive, courteous. We will be coming back!

This is a beautiful unique property whose novelty makes up for the condition of the rooms. The rooms are drafty and small. You can get space heaters but the windows leak so bad you have to put pillows to stop the wind. But the staff is wonderful and the property is unique.

Terrible service, that includes reception and dining staff. You have to ask for hair dryer, blankets, toiletries etc. at reception desk. Complementary coffee served from 5-6:30am, is this a joke? Paid parking ($12 per day) when parking is free all over Waterton. Our bathroom smelled so bad I had to spray perfume to be able to stand it. We expected a lot better from such a beautiful historical hotel and are truly disappointed. It was my husband’s birthday weekend and was ruined. We stayed for 3 nights and ate dinner at the dining room and also had afternoon tea. Service disappointed us so much that despite planning to eat all our meals at the hotel we didn’t want to spend more money there, instead deciding to use our $1000 food budget in town. Will never come back here and make sure to tell everyone we know to avoid this hotel.

The hotel is an architecturally beautiful building that invites your eyes to wander over it's incredibly intricate details. The views from every window are spectacular whether looking at the mountains or the lake. The staff are College aged and hailing from Canada and several other countries. All are very outgoing and helpful. Each is attentive to your needs and willing to assist. Their knowledge of the areas features and history are both interesting and useful.
