The hotel has a unique and fun pool that the kids enjoyed. The sky train station is on site which is unique and very convenient. The main restaurant was under construction in May 2024 during our stay which was unfortunate.

The lady on reception was in training - she was wonderful and so kind. I was even upgraded which was a treat! The rooms are always clean and the beds so very comfortable. I always stay at River Rock when I'm in Vancouver - I will be back at the beginning of June!!

Excellent service, super clean and constable rooms. The only negative was the restaurant on Sunday, we spent an hour and a half waiting in line to be seated because it was supposedly by reservation. Hotel staff must inform guests at check-in that they need to make reservations for the restaurant from Friday to Sunday.

Good standard bed, fairly clean. The room we had had a view of a train station and was busy/noisy. Not much of a casino and limited drinks and food.

The highlight of staying in this hotel was that my teen was awoken to a mouse crawling on his head... if there's one, there's many .. safe to assume. Upon letting concierge know, room cleaning services was offered but they ended up just moving us to a different room altogether.. I didn't make a fuss, I didn't ask for a discounted rate. We book here because of how conveniently it is near Richmond Night Market (5 minute walk)... for those who do not want to stress parking. Our first time and our last booking here. I always check my rooms for signs of bed bugs but new fear unlock, have to check for mice droppings too now...

Our room was not very clean and there was pealing paint in the bathroom shower and the wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling breakfast was very poor and the service was not good

Would be more convenient when checking out to just leave keys in room or to have express checkout box on 4th floor as it is a pain to go down to lobby to hand in keys then have to go back up to get to skytrain, particularly at 6am in the morning.

I sadly felt that this property is run down and has not been maintained . We used to stay there regularly when they first opened. The room was tidy, however it did not feel clean. Because of this my daughter actually slept on top of her coat. I remember there being a nicer restaurant on the premise, however when I asked they only had a buffet available. They are renovating a new restaurant so that will improve. The casino is now for strictly gambling, there is no sort of atmosphere or entertainment. Save your money and go to Las Vegas.

Had to walk far with my daughter to enjoy the pool, once we were done I had to walk her back cold as they don’t let you leave the pool area with towels but don’t tell you that, the elevator was out and free parking was far away - at least should comp for the $3 parking every time you move. When I told staff they seems not to care about any of it as they were sold out.. Bathtub had Hairs in it

The room was upgraded to a suite but the room was NOT CLEAN and the bed didn’t even have a fitted sheet on it. The bare mattress was under the sheet and comforter. Shower was dirty. Dusty. Crack in marble top in bedroom. Stains from drinks on wood furniture. The chair in living room had food crumbs all in the chair under cushion. Floors were dirty and our sock feet got filthy. Brought to management attention at desk and they were supposed to call me back yesterday and never did.

Excellent stay in Richmond, you can literally directly take City Train from airport to the building! The surrounding area is filled with fancy dining choices, a top one choice for vacation in Vancouver!

I stayed at the River rick for a Convention many years ago and always wanted to go back. Our stay this time was somewhat disappointing as the buffet and other restaurants were closed. The grounds at the back were so beautiful before and now are looking dirty and run down. Only one elevator working in out wing. We were given a room upgrade which we really appreciated. very nice suite. I am happy to see that there is some construction gong on so hopefully the grounds are getting upgraded too.

The location is good for getting to Vancouver downtown with the skytrain. Swimming pool great for relaxing. There's construction going on in the facility, at the moment, so that can be distracting.

Just be aware of the room category you book. The hotel tower is located across the street and not as nice as the main hotel. There was a homeless person outside the lobby upon checking in. Plane approach pattern is right over hotel and very noisy. Parking is free but about a block away even though parking structure attached to hotel. Went to use the pool and pool slide not working and hot tub jets not working either. Location is typical industrial area.
