My husband and I have been visiting this place for more than 10 years and now we got the worst room ever, maybe because we book it through Expedia- I am not sure. It was in poor condition comparing to other rooms. We were able to hear everything that was happening in the room above where the floor was very squeaky.

Key cards did not work - staff was not available when needed. Air conditioning was non functional, the hotel in no way resembles the picture, we had no access to the pool, all doors were locked and access was limited to enter. Horrible.

The grounds and exterior buildings are very beautiful, but interiors are outdated and a little dingy. There are ZERO elevators, so be mindful if you have a lot of luggage. They do have self-parking which is nice. Staff is friendly and check in and out was a breeze.

The surrounding area was very pretty but the overall hotel wasn’t ideal. For starters, our room tv didn’t work at all, neither did our phone, so we couldn’t get any room service or contact the front desk at all because they absolutely did not pick up their phone from our cell phone. We told front desk about it and he seemed new and flustered, gave us a free breakfast card, that we certainly did not use because their breakfast ends fairly early. We needed ice and the ice machine was not working after walking a fairly good amount from our building to the other building where the ice machine is located so front desk had security get us ice from the attached restaurant, Goosefeather, so once we were out of ice we were also out of luck because that’s private entry lol After spending time in the indoor pool, which was okay, we went in for a shower and one of the towels had a stain. Could we just call down for another one? Certainly would have if the phone worked. Overall, the resort is okay, it has a nice atmosphere and ambiance but the staff and the basics of a hotel didn’t meet a good standard. If it wasn’t for the resort the allure of this location would definitely be below sub par unfortunately.

It was the perfect place for a retreat. The grounds are beautiful, well kept, and absolutely peaceful. The staff is courteous, friendly, and quicj to respond if needed.

I had to go in reception desk 5 times because the door key wasn’t working the receptionist was nice and helpful but this is not fair .u go for relax there not to get stressed if the key wont open the door .
