West Lake Tahoe Chalet, 3/2 + Loft, Hiking, Biking, Skiing, Sledding, Sleeps 8,

Just steps from Tahoe National Forest, this beautifully furnished Chalet Cabin offers spectacular views of the forest. Our 1850 sq. ft. cabin sits on a half-acre next to a greenbelt for immediate access to walking dogs, hiking, and sledding. Easy access winter or summer. Our cabin is on a flat road two blocks off Highway 89. Chambers Landing is within walking distance from the cabin. I do a daily 20 minute walk with my dog and I stop when I see Chambers Landing.
A Guest Cabin is in front of the driveway. Hundreds of fun activities and places of interest are listed in our Guest Book. The cabin has custom-made doors, vaulted wood beam ceilings, and heated tile floors throughout the cabin. The most mentioned item in reviews is our well-stocked kitchen. Our living room has a couch and three recliners, and a cozy fireplace. Perfect for opening gifts or playing family games. Plenty to do - we supply books for all ages, games, 5 smart TVs and DVDs. The living room opens to a large deck through two sets of sliding doors. The deck has a propane barbecue, chairs, and a table. Ideal for summer gatherings and grilling. Sleeping: all three of the bedrooms have queen beds with quality mattresses, and our loft has a daybed with a trundle. For children, we supply a Pak & Play, booster seat, dishware, books, games, toys & sleds. The dining room is separate, seats 8 people, and has a gas fireplace. The downstairs bath has a private dressing area. The upstairs bath is shared with the Master bedroom and loft.
We are a couple of miles away from The Wedding Chapel and 2 miles away from Homewood Ski Resort.

We loved everything about this property! First of all communication with the owner was outstanding, thank you! The place was beyond outstanding. Spacious, two fireplaces, very clean, great location, close to the ski resorts, games to play and movies to watch, walking trail from the cabin, BBQ on the deck, and all the appliances you need just like you were at home. The owner even created a guest book that is a Bible for everything in the area, food, sking, etc... We will definitely rent here again. Our family had the BEST time.

Peaceful retreat
My family had a lovely time staying in this home. It is in a quiet, well kept neighborhood. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed to make ourselves at home including coffee maker and hot water kettle. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and extra towels were available in the linen closet. The furniture was comfortable and in great condition. Ample lighting and heat for the chilly evenings. We especially enjoyed lunch on the front deck and star gazing at night. There’s a trail up the forest right next to the house where we enjoyed east hikes each day. It was such a beautiful peaceful weekend at this house. Easy and short drive to the main road and the lake shore Perfectly situated away from all the crazy crowds that summer weekends in Tahoe can bring.

Perfection at Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe is a perfect place and this house makes it even better. We loved our stay. The location is ideal...at the end of a street right off of the main road near beautiful walking trails. The house has three bedrooms and two baths with comfortable beds and plenty of linens. The kitchen is well-stocked with everything we needed. It was clean and had plenty of paper goods, a TV in every room with a gas fireplace and propane bbq. The owners were easily accessible and very helpful. I don't know how it could be improved.

Wonderful Tahoe Home
This was the 2nd time we stayed at this home, and it sealed it for us. We will stay here every time we vacation at Lake Tahoe! The layout is great for privacy and communal living. The kitchen has everything so we cooked every night but one. The place is clean and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the deck. Thank you for offering such a nice place for us vacationers to feel at home.

Had a great time and your cabin was very nice. The people who were in the cottage parked over so far
That we had to park one in front of the other. The only thing that was uncomfortable was thT it was very hot in there with all the fans on . I don't know if it was hotter than normal causing it. But would still come back.

Another Great Tahoma Stay
This is at least the fifth time our family has stayed at this vacation home. It’s comfortable, has a well supplied kitchen, and is always clean. And the location is wonderful! It’s at the end of the road and is quite private, and right next to the forest with great hiking and sledding opportunities. We will be back.

A great stay!
A great location at the end of the street- convenient to the trail into the forest, very quiet, and lots of wildlife. We saw rabbits, a coyote, and 8 different bears! House was good and as indicated in the listing. The kitchen is completely outfitted and easy to cook in. Chairs both inside and on porch are comfortable- and plenty of chairs outside for our large group. And the porch is large enough to accommodate a crowd. I would wish for a king size bed, but the queens throughout were very comfortable. The bathroom in the master bedroom is quite small- just enough space for one person at a time. Downstairs bath is only slightly larger. However, there are lots of good quality linens. Though no house is perfect, this one certainly met our needs. We’re would definitely stay again. We loved our 3 weeks in Tahoe!

Good location but needs improvement
Pros: the cabin was spacious and had lots of kitchen ware. It was also not too far from the beach which was good and was located in a quiet area. Cons: the AC unit did not work which was unfortunate since it was hot during our stay. We had to use the fans but they made too much noise at night for sleeping. I left the housekeeper a voicemail message and sent a text message to the owner regarding the AC unit not working and didn't receive a response back during our stay. There was also roof construction going on which we weren't aware of which caused lots of noise & dust to sprinkle over us as the construction workers were hammering down the roof. The refrigerator was also not working properly, it would not keep our meat or drinks cold even at the coldest temperature setting so we had to use the top freezer part which barely kept cool. The phone connection was also very weak as the service there kept breaking up phone calls.

Beautiful Home - wonderful stay
The home was beautiful and the most equipped I have seen. A word of caution for pet owners - the neighborhood is plentiful with non leashed pets, so difficult to take your pet for a walk if they do not do well with other pets. Also, the outlets did not work in the kitchen, so a little inconvenience. We were surprised the hosts did not offer a small refund. Overall, beautifully equipped home and nice stay.
