Unique Log Cabin construction using the Swedish-style vertical log method.

A newly remodeled kitchen with new appliances have been completed in April 2020. New vinyl plank flooring has been installed in the living room in March 2021. Improvements are important to me and I am so excited for you to stay!!! The little things can make a huge difference!

Experience some of the best fishing, swimming, boating and outdoor recreational adventures in Door County on beautiful Sand Bay.

This charming log cabin is conveniently located just seven miles west of the city of Sturgeon Bay and the gateway of Door County.

Moonlight Magic provides a 300-feet deep wooded lot for privacy and plenty of parking for vehicles/boats. A 100-feet of waterfront with a pebble/rocky beach. The shorefront cabin is just 30 feet from the water and is not visible from the road.

View the sunrise over Sand Bay Larsen’s Reef, which is one of the hottest fishing spots in Door County, the Sturgeon Bay shipping channel and the big waters of Green Bay.

The area is on a quiet, wooded, and beautiful point with Riley’s Bay on one side and Sand Bay on the other.

There are two sand beaches that are within walking distance.

The area is perfect for walking, biking, and rollerblading along the wildflowers and tree-lined loop that is abound with wildlife. A range of bikes are provided and free to use.

Enjoy the pelicans and wildlife that visit our private, secluded haven. Relax in front of the bonfire and enjoy the fireworks that frequent a warm summer night with the waves pounding on the shoreline.

Relax in our open living/dining room, watch TV, listen to music or choose from a selection of games and books.

The kitchen contains pots/pans, cooking utensils, coffeemaker, can opener, toaster, blender, dishes, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher and stove/oven for your cooking needs.

The two bedrooms upstairs include a king-size bed in one room and three full-size beds in the second room to accommodate up to eight guests. There is a twin-size roll-away bed located on the Main Floor to accommodate one extra guest. The full bath with a shower/tub is located on the Main Floor.

Central Heating & Cooling throughout. Ceiling fans are located on the Main Floor and in the Screened-in-Porch.

The enclosed porch is furnished with wicker furniture. The outside patio is furnished with table/chairs and charcoal weber grill. A stone pathway leads to the dock and fire pit.

This is a fantastic place to stay, and we had a great time!! The house was very clean, and the location is beautiful! Right on the water. My wife and I stayed here recently for 5 nights. Overall it was an amazing place to stay and we would recommend to others. Our favorite part was the location and view. Being a desirable waterfront location, there are a lot of homes packed in, but this place felt more private than we expected. The view across the bay was wonderful, and we spent every evening out by the fire pit enjoying the view and sounds of the water. One thing we feel the need to mention is the pet policy. When searching for rentals for our trip, one reason we initially chose this place was because it listed being pet friendly and we really wanted to be able bring our 12lb minature dachshund with us. It was a few hundred extra to add a pet, but it was worth it to us. We made sure to let the host know before booking just to make sure. So we were a little surprised when we arrived at the cabin and found a sign saying pets are not allowed up stairs in the bedrooms. To anyone who has traveled with a pet, you know how difficult it would be to leave them alone downstairs at night. All in all we had a great stay though and feel the property deserves 5 stars.

Spectacular view and quiet just as advertised. Had everything we needed, including coffee, and more. Comfortable stay. Enjoyed the wildlife and great fire ring outside! If you are tall you will need to duck on the stairs though. Spent time in Sturgeon Bay and all over door county. Perfect time of year to see the fall colors. Can be a little bit of a drive to the northern section of the peninsula but we knew that and were fine with the drive. It was worth the view and privacy!

Peaceful Getaway
Moonlight Magic provided a peaceful respite from the daily grind. The cabin is right on the bay, which is perfect for viewing the sunrise and wildlife. Pelicans, herons, geese, and loons frequented the shore. All the necessary comforts were provided and having access to bicycles was nice for local jaunts around the loop. Very close to Sturgeon Bay and other Door County attractions. Host was very helpful and kind. Would stay here again!

3 generations of my family stayed for a weekend with our dogs. The scenery and wildlife was gorgeous. The cabin itself was very beautiful and accommodating.
