Private Cozy Cottage on the Northside.

This guest cottage is located on the breezy and cooler North side of St Thomas. The cottage overlooks views of Hull and Magens Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. The cottage is a cozy private dwelling with its own driveway/parking area. This secluded free standing getaway shares property with the owners home, but is nestled within the Caribbean foliage. Fruit trees and sounds of the Caribbean jungle are plentiful.

The cottage is a quaint romantic getaway for a couple or small family. Your separate driveway/parking area veers off from the owners driveway providing two parking spaces. A few steps bring you to a small porch/dining area with fantastic views.

The cozy open concept living/dining area is complete with high ceilings and fans. The fully equip kitchen features full size appliances, pots, dishes, utensils, Keurig, coffee pot, toaster, and more. The living area features a pull out queen size sleeper sofa, along with free wifi access, and large flat screen TV.

The Master Bedroom is air conditioned (although rarely needed in this breezy abode) with a queen size bed and full closet. Bathroom features standup shower, hair dryer and towels to suit your needs.

The owners are located just a bit further up the driveway in a separate house, ensuring complete privacy during your stay. We have lived in St Thomas for several years and are available as much or as little as you like. We are happy to help with any questions you may have, and equally as happy to respect your privacy. We have 3 mellow teenage children and 2 loving and friendly dogs, Cora & Mali.

The cottage is located near the highest point in St Thomas, which affords fabulous views. There is a convenient store/gas station just at the end of the street. The Shack at Hull Bay, The Fish Bar (dining) and Hull Bay beach is a convenient 7 minutes away. The cottage is also conveniently located to many other Northside Beaches including Nelteburg, Dorothea, & Magens. As well as Southside beaches such as Brewers & Lindburg.

Our secluded location is off of the Island Safari route, making it necessary to rent a car. We suggest making reservations ahead of time to reserve your vehicle.

The stay was great. A little out of the way but nice and quiet area. Only thing missing from the cottage is an ironing board and a long mirror 😊. Other than that my stay was great.

Cozy cottage
My sister and I stayed here on a last minute vacation. It is definitely an adventure to get here with steep roads and very sharp turns. But that was part of the fun and by the end we were pros. Super cute cottage with a nice view. Everything with the stay was great. Only thing was their was only 1 towel for showering, but we made it work. There were plenty of beach towels. We would absolutely stay here again.

The Host were very prompt in answering questions when we got into the island, Although we did not get to meet them on our stay , i would say customer service is definitely 10/10!! They made sure we felt at home and had any worries answered before we had even arrived , qlthough the snorkel equipment was not operational, they still think of their guest enough to try and make sure YOU HAVE EVERYTHING BEACH READY! When we come back to St.Thomas. unless we have a big crowd we will DEFINITELY be back to this property!!

Great place for the determined
Thanks for sharing your place with us! We loved the fresh carribean breeze on the top of this mountain. The one room has air-conditioning but we never had to turn it on because the airflow was so awesome in this little house. Wonderful to fall asleep listening to the coki! Suggestions, please rent a SUV to access, difficult roads and unwilling taxis could make this place hard to find and travel to. Also, make sure to know the ferry schedules if traveling between islands, we got ourselves stranded- the car ferry left without us because we got the times wrong. Third, maybe the owners could add a third chair in the living room for comfort. Otherwise, a great stay. Very clean.

Absolutely Perfect Place For Two!!
We had an amazing week at the cozy cottage. It was very clean, well stocked with things for cooking and days at the beach. A/C,TV and WiFi, although seldom used, worked great. Nathan and Deirdre are gracious hosts who allow you to enjoy your vacation and are helpful with inquiries. We plan to bring our daughter and stay again!

I would definitely recommend this place! The owners are super cool and this place has everything you need. It's on a beautiful mountain side and has a jungle atmosphere. If wildlife is a problem, you probably won't like it, but that's St Thomas. We can't wait to go back!! There is a market at the bottom of the hill and it is just minutes from Hull Bay. Book now!!

Description was accurate, as far as it goes. Sleeping was difficult as there were nearby dogs barking, even at night. The cottage was darling, and bed was comfortable. Take seriously the caveats about the driveway, one evening we got back after dark, later than usual and couldn't turn around to go back down the drive and ended up parking at the top, which was challenging for the hosts. TV and internet were supposed to be amenities, but every day we were there, there was a brownout or power outage and we never had use of either. I guess that is part of the "Island experience" however when I informed the host that, after repair it was not fixed when we returned, must have been another outage, she denied that until I pointed out the clock on the stove was also wrong. And the fact that only one host had the expertise to fix the internet was difficult. We had wanted to see some local TV, and were unable to do so, also could not use internet other than on our phones the entire time.

Perfect place to stay!
We had an incredible stay while visiting the island. The cottage is independent and private and has everything you could possibly want or need! Very spacious for the two of us and convenient to just about everything on the island. You really need to do yourself a favor and rent a vehicle to get here and specifically I’d recommend a 4wd like a jeep. The driveway is steep, but having stayed on the island multiple times over the years, it’s what you would expect of most places. There were all kinds of extras as welll such as pillows, fans, beach towels, etc. There is a mini-mart and gas station conveniently located near the cottage which was helpful too! We would HIGHLY recommend this place and it will be our go to if possible when we return again!

What can i say.... this was not our first choice. The place we wanted was booked. But i can say with assurance, I'm glad it was. This place was awesome!!! They had everything we needed. Even had games you could play on the beach!! Who does that? These guys did. I would definitely stay there again. And i think they deserve a better rating.

High in the mountain
Be prepared for steep driveway. Don't arrive in the dark. However, privacy was complete. The barking dogs eventually blended into the allover sound of the birds, wind and occasional rain. Lush plant growth around the cottage enhances the feeling of being in a totally removed place. Driving on the left was easier for me than in UK and Ireland. I liked having the left visible to me around the sharp curves of the roads leading up to the property. I rode over the gardener's rake. I gave him my last $10. I fear that wasn't enough. The property was a perfect place.

Sweet Cottage
We absolutely loved this little cottage, it had everything we needed and more. It was plenty spacious for two people, the kitchen was stocked to cook any caliber of meal and it was nice to have beach chairs and a cooler to use! Communication with Deirdre was easy and she was kind and very responsive. You can’t go wrong booking this place!

Amazing! This is the cutest little cottage with all the comforts one would need! We had such a great time (once we figured out how to get around). It is a true jungle complete with night sounds that lull you to sleep...being a small city dweller, I was afraid it would be too loud, but it was so amazing and somehow comforting. We enjoyed every aspect of this cottage and would love to return...ASAP! We highly recommend staying here, but be sure to rent a 4-wheel drive. You'll need it! Thank you, Deirdre and family! Absolutely AMAZING! The pics DO NOT do this property justice.
First off, this is off the beaten path and very secluded. I chose this property just for that reason, wanting to stay away from the noise of a hotel. I HIGHLY recommend that you rent a SUV or Jeep as the roads to the cottage are steep and curvy. Also USE WAZE for navigation and not google , as google got us lost quite a few times or put us on bad roads . WAZE was far more accurate. Check in was very easy as the cottage was open and the keys were placed on a table for us. Deirdre and Roy stopped by when we got there for just a minute to bring garbage bags and just to let us know they were there if we needed them. The cottage is absolutely adorable , equipped with everything you need. From dishes to beach chairs , snorkel gear , a ice chest… They really thought of everything to help make your stay perfect! I’m so glad I picked this property and didn’t pick something closer to the beaches. As we were put to sleep every night by the sounds of the coki frogs. It is a lot cooler up the mountain, so definitely bring a light hoodie, no matter what time of year . I will say though, while the drive up the steep , narrow roads was a little nerve racking at times it was all worth it. We just made sure to be back before dark.. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend staying here if you want to be secluded at the end of the day. You will really enjoy just sitting on the porch having coffe while looking out at all the beauty of the property and the bay in the distance. We had a frog take over one of the chairs and even caught a iguana up high in the tree. Deirdre is amazing and responds to texts quickly to awnser any questions or take care of any concerns. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else when I come back to the islands!! You won’t regret staying here!!

The cottage is very nice and cozy. Plenty of room for my family. The directions provided by the host perfectly explained how to get to the cottage. You definitely will need a car as they explain due to the location. The location provides plenty of privacy.
